Furniture make over

My lovely friend Bunny asked to see my furniture make over
but unfortunately I had started already so this photo
shows the underneath grey colour.
The furniture was originally dark wood and
it got the dark grey coat.
Then you can see around the drawers,
the lovely light grey paint we put on next.

I then cut some wallpaper which is a lovely creamy colour
will silver paint like swirls going through it.

The unit looks small in this photo but it is pretty large
when you are putting 3 coats of paint, then wallpaper,
then handles and finally a coat of clear varnish.

It makes the hallway much brighter and roomier!
I do have a smaller version of this sitting opposite this one,
decorated in the exact same way.

I wanted to give you a close up look at the wallpaper
but the lighting is making it look very yellow.
You can see the swirls of grey going through it though
and we are really pleased with the finished outcome.

Down the corridor there is a hot press door which is an odd
size and we have been unable to replace it.
It was a horrible brown, flat door.
So we decided to cover it in some bookcase wallpaper!
It really brightened up the corridor and the result is just perfect!

Light is not great but I hope you get the feel.

Another view. Don't look at my old mats.
I do have a new one but have to hoover and scrub the floors
after the decorating!

Thanks for dropping by!

My CAS card this week uses the stamp set called
It comes as separately or as a bundle
which will include a dragonfly punch.

I thought I'd give it a go.
There is a quick video in my VIP Group on FB,

I coloured the flowers and greenery using

Dressed to impress for Mother's Day

This is another commissioned
Mother's day Card.

I went all pinks and lots of embossing for this one.
The stamp set is called
and it certainly owes me nothing
as I have definitely made my money back on it!
Love this set.

I embossed and inked up the first layer.
Added a layer of melon mambo card,
another embossed layer
and then I cut out the Ornate layer frame
to cut out the centre of it.
I stamped out loads of the flowers,
the perfume bottle and shoes.
Coloured them with blends
and added to the frame.
I stamped the heart from
and added the Mummy
stamped using Make a Difference.
Took me a while this one
but just sat listening to some nice music
and enjoyed the moment 😁

Steampunk at Tag Tuesday

Our new theme at
has been chosen by the lovely Sandie
and she wants us to go with
STEAMPUNK!

This was my first ever attempt at Steampunk.
I checked out some tutorials from my lovely friends Chrissy
and also some gorgeous projects from Janette
and this is what I came up with.

I ended up with pretty gross looking fingers lol
but I had great fun.
I used fun foam to cut the cogs using
The jigsaw piece was cut out in foam
and I even glued on all the little left over
pieces from the die cuts.
I then added a soft clay butterfly and rose
that I had made years ago.
Everything was then coloured using black
paint and allowed to dry.
I then went in with my finger using
metallic rub ons.
I mounted it onto black card to finish.

Dragonfly Garden

This is my mid month post for the theme of
Colour mWorld
over at

I played about with some inks and brushes
and used my pre made stencil to create
the stripes.
I stamped the dragonflies from
in memento ink and added some little white
dots and a sentiment.
I tore some strips from Oh So Ombre papers
and added to the sides before adhering to my
card base.
Simple and colourful 😁
