Simply Elegant Paper Mask Holder

My tutorial today was more a necessity than fun.
I always keep a disposable mask in my coat pockets
in case of emergencies
(like needing to use a loo when out walking etc)
but they become quite tatty after a while.
So I decided to make a little cover for them.
When I use the mask I can just bin it
and pop a fresh one in the little holder.
They do sit nice and flat in my pocket or handbag
and it's a great way to use up old paper.

You can watch this quick and easy video tutorial here

I have used papers called Simply Elegant
which are very posh looking indeed!
The sentiment is from a Good Man
and ink was memento.

Measurements I used
Paper - 8 1/4" x 4 3/4"
Score short side - 1/2" both sides
Score long side - 3 3/8", 6 3/4"
(masks can vary slightly in size but they can be trimmed if needed)

Vintage style at Tag Tuesday

Our new challenge theme over at
has been chosen
by Valerie-Jael and she wants to see
Vintage Tags.

I am not very good at vintage at all
but will give anything a go!

For this tag I started with a piece of crumb cake card.
I stamped the butterflies from the Butterfly Brilliance stamp set
and then over stamped the sentiment to fill the gaps,
off stamping to get a lighter text.
I then punched out the top with the scallop tag punch
and inked around the edges using cinnamon cider ink.
I coloured the butterflies using Spectrum Noir pencils,
in nice vintage colours.
I found the label in an old Stampin' Up! kit
and stamped the same text sentiment from the
I inked around the edges in cinnamon cider
and adhered to my tag.
The flowers where punched using the
with the pencils and inked with the cinnamon cider.
I added a pearl to each flower
and stuck in place.
To finished I added a bit of lace to the tag top.

Dragonflies and Butterflies

Happy Monday!

I didn't have much time to craft last week with
minding the Grandkids so what little time I had
I made some 3d dragonflies and butterflies.

My lovely friend Mary had used a layered butterfly
on one of her cards and when I admired it
(thinking she had made it herself)
she told me it was shop bought.
Sooooo, being who I am I had to have a go at making my own.

I used the dragonfly garden bundle and the now retired
butterfly gala stamp set and matching punch.
The ink colours are from the new in-colour pads.

I stamped them out onto silk card and clear embossed them,
using the shadow stamps for the underneath layer.
I then layered them up at the centre body with a bit of foam
and added some little pearls in gold and silver.
The butterflies had some soft wire antenna made
and popped in place.
I was quite pleased with the finished bunch
and they feel nice and heavy to withstand the post.
So watch this space for some creations using them up.

The stamp set I used is called

pale papaya papers and matched the lid

ATC 8 - Pride Month

As it's Pride Month I thought I should
do a rainbow theme for this week's ATC.

It was influenced by a video I saw on YouTube

So I have used my layering circles to create the rainbow,
using brights card stock mostly.
The background has been inked with clouds.
I then inked another piece, same size as my atc
and using my basic border dies
(the cloud one, which you could use to create your own cloud template)
to cut the cloud shape where I needed it.
It was then layered onto the rainbow.
Sentiment stamped from a retired set in memento.
Finished it by inking around the edges.

I had made one of these photo boxes for a friend
