Celebrate

I had a few cards to make for a Religious ceremony last week
and this is one of them.
I used Lisa Horton Multi Layer Garden Rose
for this one.
The background has been embossed using a
rose embossing board and I added
the wording from SU and a cross
from Spellbinders.

The last birthday of the month was my
daughter's 29th yesterday.
House is back in order, peace reigns,
well for at least a few weeks
so I should get lots of time to play.

Get well wishes!

I wanted to have a play with my stencils, stamps and dies

from Lisa Horton so went in search of a sketch

to motivate me.

I came across this one at

Try Stampin' on Tuesday

which worked perfectly for my big  yellow flower.

I have used yellows and greys for the flower,

shades of green for the leaves

and stamped the tag in grey ink and the

main sentiment in black, inked up with my blending brushes.

The stitching around the edges if from a set called

Stitchery from SU.

I finished with a yellow bow.

Heehaw!

It's the second week of Sandie's theme

Animals - wild or tame

over at

TAG TUESDAY.

This week I have gone with donkeys!

I punched three holes in my white card,

inked it up with some daffodil delight ink

and stamped over it with bermuda bay ink and a tiny stamp

from the Darling Donkeys stamp set (SU).

I then stamped the donkeys separately,

coloured them up with blends and promarkers and

cut them out.

I used part of the images and stuck to back of my tag.

It was then all mounted on to some Oh So Ombre paper.

I punched a hole and added an eyelet and stamped

the sentiment in centre circle using bermuda bay ink.

The circles are 1 1/2" in diameter.

Our weekend celebrations went well.

Sunday was very wet so umbrellas up to get us

in and out of the chapel and our Grandson

just loved the acoustics and let everyone know he was there 😂

So we have our son's 40th this week and my

daughter's birthday next week.

I am totally exhausted and ready to run away from home lol.

Easter celebrations

I made this card for my Mother-in-law

for Easter.

I went with pool party card which I embossed

with a rose embossing folder.

The centre papers are from a retired set which

I matted onto some white card and used some

fancy edge scissors to trim it.

I hand cut the cross from some matching paper

and then layered it onto white card.

I wrapped a piece of white ribbon around the cross

then stamped a flower from Painted Seasons stamp set,

in pool party ink and layered it up.

I finished with a stamped sentiment from

Fable Friends stamp set and a pearl.

Easter Greetings

I stole a bit of time to make some Easter cards
for my Grandkids.
The cards are exactly the same other than the first one is
coloured using blends and promarkers,

and this one has been coloured with pencils.
Which do you like best?
I used an old embossing folder on the kraft card bases,
used the Ornate Layers Dies for the image (Digi Stamp Boutique)
and finished with some matching ribbon.
The sentiment is stamped in bumblebee ink and is from
the Fable Friends stamp set.

My new toy!

I made this card for my friend who recently
lost her Mum and as it's coming up to her Month's Mind
I wanted to let her know I was thinking of her.

I used a brand new toy to create this card.
It is from Lisa Horton Crafts and I really splurged!!
Honestly the stress of the wedding etc just got the better of me 😂
So I bought the four pack of layering stencils, dies, stamps
and of course the Ultimate Multitool board.
If you haven't checked it out you should.
I am totally addicted to this system!
It has little pins at the top of the board that allow you
to position the stencills perfectly each time, pure genius!!

I used  Multi Layer Blossoming Lily
(stencil, stamp and dies)
Peel Paint Distress ink, old olive (SU) ink,
Purple posy, fresh fig, fresh freesia and gorgeous grape inks (SU)
Blending brushes and metallic pearls.

I have since added a scored line around the outside of the card
to give it some definition.

along with a sentiment from Happy Hedgehogs.
I stamped the stitched lines in coastal cabana and granny apple green.
The papers are from a retired pack and the sentiment
has been stamped onto a punched out oval.
The little butterfly is from the Happy Hedgehogs set
and coloured with my blends.
I finished with a bit of matching ribbon.

Our daughter's Civil Ceremony was beautiful and
it was so lovely to have our little family gathered together
along with Mal's parents all the way from America.
We had a really busy week bringing them to places
of interest as it was their first time in Ireland.
This weekend will be busy again!
Minding the Grandsons on Thursday,
special Mass for my daughter in law and Grandson Oliver on Saturday
and our youngest Grandson Finbar gets Christened on Easter Sunday
which is also our Grandson Tom's birthday!

Here is a quick photo of the happy couple!
Our daughter is one on right.

One with me and hubby.

And this is the whole family.

We now have family from Enniskillen, Latvia, Wales and America!
Exactly how the world should be!!

Colour challenge at Tag Tuesday

Our new challenge at
has been chosen by Valerie
and it's a colour challenge.
She wants to see you use blue and green in your tag.

I dug out some old papers called
Berry Delightful and cut at an angle, attaching it to my tag
with some blue ribbon.
I added some embossing to the top part of the tag.
The leaves and berries have been stamped using
Berry Blessings stamp set and some
granny apple green and pacific point inks.
The sentiment was stamped directly onto the tag
and it finished by stapling some of the same
ribbon to the top.

I hope you get time to join in the fun this fortnight.

I love .....

Our new challenge over at

STAMPING SENSATIONS

is all about WHAT YOU LOVE!

Just grab your stamps and show us what floats your boat!

We have 3 great prizes up for grabs too!

So WHAT I LOVE is a shaped card!

I love creating shaped cards for special occasions.

This one was made for my daughter and her partner

moving into their first home.

I have used a Christina Griffiths die set called

6" x 6" flower box and card set.

The card colours are flirty flamingo and coastal cabana.

I stamped the little houses directly onto the card, then

stamped more onto white card and added colour.

I cut them out and 3d'd them.

The trees and flowers were stamped, coloured and added to the layers.

The sentiment is from two different stamp sets.

I added matching ribbon and bow.

The back has been stamped as well using a few different sets

which I will list below.

The front has also had some clouds inked up.

Stamp sets used:

Quite Curvy, Barn Door, One Happy Family,

Coming Home, Beauty of Friendship and At Home with You.

I hope you get time to join us!

Thanks to those of you who asked how I was.

Getting over covid took longer than I had patience for lol.

But we are all doing very well now, energy levels back

and only a small amount of congestion.

We have been busy moving my daughter into her home

and getting ready for her partner and family arriving from

USA today. We have the wedding on Thursday and the visitors

return on Sunday so hopefully things will get a bit more normal around here.
