Pick a pocket or two!

Our new theme at
has been chosen by the lovely Wendy
and she wants to see us include a pocket!

For my tag I have cut a circle out of some retired papers
and folded in to form a pocket.
I stamped wording on side folds and flowers
on bottom fold and added a matching ribbon.
I then made a little tag to fit in the pocket
which I flower stamped at the bottom and inked
up all the edges. The sentiment was stamped in
matching ink and I finished with a piece of
the same ribbon.
Stamp set used is called Hello Ladybug (SU).
I hope you get time to join us.

Wallet or purse?

I came across a challenge on Chrissy's blog called
and they wanted to see you make a wallet/gift card hold.
I did need two, one for female and one for a male
and I have made this type before so it was going to be my go to.
I like the finished look, either a purse or a wallet and
quick and easy to make! Plus it holds the notes like a purse/wallet!

I made a quick video showing how I did the male one here

Measurements to make one
Card base - 6" x 5"
Score 6" side at 3"
Score 5" side at 1 1/2"
Dsp for base - 5 3/4" x 3 1/4"
Dsp for pocket (make 2) - 2 3/4" x 1 1/4"
Card for closure - 2" x 4 1/4"
Dsp for closure - 2" x 4"

Yesterday was my birthday and I can safely say
it was the best one yet!
We walked our wee dog Squirt, then hubby and myself
had a long walk around our local park.
Then we went for our lunch which was delicious.
We visited my mother-in-law then came home
to entertain my daughter, her partner and my Grandson Oliver
who brought presents and chocolate and cake!
We then had a visit from my son Deaglan, his wife Patricia
and my two Grandsons Sean and Tom and they brought more
chocolate and more presents!
I also got some crafty goodies from hubby lol.
So all in all it was a lovely happy, relaxed day!
Hope you all have a great weekend.

Put a bow on it!

It's the second week of Michele's
buttons and/or bows challenge over at

My button phobia would not let me use buttons
so I have gone with a bow again.

I have used a lovely stamp I received in a challenge win at Allsorts called
Bird Collage from AALL & Create.
I inked up my base using various inks then sprayed
a little water in the centre and mopped up.
I then stamped the greenery around the edges
using a stamp from Daisy Lane (SU) in evening evergreen.
I then stamped the main image using versafine.
The sentiment was added from the Daisy Lane set
and I added two sequins (close as I can get to buttons lol).
I backed it all onto matching card and finished
with a large bow.

Babysitting again yesterday so catching up today.
We had a lovely weekend at our Grandson Sean's
First Communion and Patricia's 40th birthday
AND the weather was very kind to us with no rain
until evening time!

He looked so grown up!

Thanks a bunch!

This is my first go using this set from Lisa Horton Crafts
and I love it.
A few mishaps but I am really happy with my results.
I went a bit mad with the colours lol but it is a nice
splash for Spring/Summer.

The set is called Sunflower and Roses.
You get a set of stencils and then use a coordinating die
and finally run it through with the matching embossing folder.
The sentiment is from another LH set,
Blossoming Lily.
I added some free stencilling underneath the die cut
to add some volume. You just need to keep checking
where your finished flower will be and play around with your card.
I did trim off some of the flowers to get it right up into
the corner and leave room for my sentiment.
The base card has a hammered effect.
The ink pads are all from SU and are called
bermuda bay, real red, evening evergreen, lemon lime twist
and bumblebee. I was a bit heavy handed with the
evening evergreen but lesson learnt.

Come and stamp with us!

For my midway post at

Stamping Sensations,

where the challenge theme is

Anything stamped option floral/fauna,

I have gone with a sympathy card.

The two set I used are from

Lisa Horton Crafts and they are called

Multi Layer Blossoming Lily (sentiment) and

multi layer double tulip bloom for the flower and leaves.

So I started by scoring some lines all around the edge of

my base card and then did the stencilling with distress inks.

I then die cut everything and stamped onto them using memento.

Remember we have a lovely prize up for grabs so

be sure and get your entries in.

You've got style!

Our challenge theme, chosen by Michele, is
Buttons and/or bows over at

I dug into some unused stash I had been holding on to
for this tag!
The embossing folder is from Provo Craft.
The paper is from Paper Floristry & Flowers pack.
The mannequin is from the same pack.
All above from Craftwork Cards.
The sentiment is from Driving By (SU).
Everything has been inked at edges using distress inks
and I finished with some pearls.
The bow is a faux one made using the same papers.

Hope you get time to join us.

Layering Stencils

I have another tag to share for my stencilling challenge
over at TAG TUESDAY.

I have used the Butterflies & Flowers layering masks from Stampin' Up!
My colours are melon mambo card, daffodil delight,
polished pink, grapefruit grove and granny apple green inks.
The sentiment is from Lisa Horton
Blossoming Lily stamp set, stamped in memento.
I re-stamped so I could layer it up.
I also added some balmy blue around the flower and wording
using my blending brush and finished with a matching bow.
Those little layering stencils are so sweet!

Hope you get time to join in!!

Splashes of Spring

I have an old kit from Stampin' Up!
which I have challenged myself to make up
and give to my customers this month.
The only thing is I really do not like this particular green.
It's called evening evergreen and it just does not
excite me at all.
BUT I decided to change things up and followed
the sketch over at
instead of following the set out plan with the kit.

The flowers have been stamped and coloured using an old wink of stella brush along with the bumblebee ink pad. I cut them out and layered up the larger one.
The leaves are coloured using the evening evergreen ink pad.
The sentiment is from Daisy delight stamp set and the
card is bumblebee.
The background does look like rain drops I suppose 😕😂

Over the weekend I moved my craft room from
the laundry room into my daughter's empty bedroom.
Wow, so much space now!!
Did have a bit of a clear out too which was great
and it's always nice to freshen up everything!
Happy bunny for another little while.

Butterflies & Flowers

I am enjoying my stencilling at the minute so
thought I would make another tag.
I had another play with the
Butterflies & Flowers layering decorative masks
from Stampin' Up!
I used the daisy background one and the butterfly one
with melon mambo, grapefruit grove and pale papaya inks.
The flowers and sentiment are from a set called
Lovely You.
I did a quick video over on YouTube
which you can watch here.

Minding the Grandsons today so best go back up

Stencil it!

It's my turn to pick the theme over at
and I want to see some stencilling!

For my tag I have stencilled using embossing paste
directly onto my black tag.
Probably could have added another layer of paste
but have no patience lol.
So I used the stencil again (SU)
this time onto white card using pink ink.
I drew around the stencil using a black pen
and then cut the flowers out and added
them to my tag.
I stamped and embossed the sentiment,
using Flowers of friendship (SU),
again stamped out two words so I could raise them up.
I finished with some gems and a bit of ribbon.

I hope you get time to join in.

It's Holy Communion/Confirmation season so
I have lots of orders to get sorted.
Have a great day and remember to join in my stencil challenge!!

Ladybugs!

So I was tempted again to use this lovely sketch from
as I had come across a pack of card bases from
way back when which were still in pretty good nick.
So I thought I would make some kids cards
following the sketch and using
Hello Ladybug stamp and punch set.
I have added a yellow bow but not sure if I like it or not!
It may get yanked off and replaced with some
baker's twine.😁

Anything stamped!

Our May challenge has started over at

STAMPING SENSATIONS

and the theme this time is

anything stamped option floral/fauna!

We have a prize up for grabs so come and join us!

For my card I have used the beautiful

Multi Layer Double Tulip Bloom

from Lisa Horton.

I went with shades of bermuda bay and coastal cabana for the flower,

and granny apple green, lemon lime twist and old olive inks for the leaves.

They have been stencilled, stamped and die cut so I could layer it up.

I also traced around the edge of my card so I could cut

away in the shape of the flowers.

Underneath I added some embossing to the exposed corner.

The top sentiment has been white embossed onto matching card

and the centre sentiment has been stamped in bermuda bay.

I finished with some faux stitching and sequin

and filled a gap with a punched out butterfly

which I coloured using a blending brush.
