On the wings of a......

We have a new challenge over at
where the lovely Sandie has chosen the theme of
WINGS.

I used a stamp set called Happy Hedgehogs and used the little bird
and flower as well as the grass stamp.
I added some clouds to the background, water coloured the bird
and finished with a sentiment.
Instead of ribbon I just went with a little brad as
I found a good pile of them when shifting my room about!

It's our youngest Grandson Finbar's 5th birthday today so we
will be popping next door for cake and coffee this afternoon.
Miserable day with a rain storm right over us at the minute!
Enjoy your weekend and
Happy New Year to you all.
Hope it's a healthy and happy one for the most part anyway.

A new year is coming!

The new year is looming!!
I don't make a lot of new year cards but I had recently
bought this lovely set called Beautiful Balloons and thought it
would work well for adding the year!
A quick and easy card and I toned it in with the matching papers
called Bright and beautiful!
This may go into one of my scrapbooks if it doesn't get given out.

You can watch my video tutorial HERE.

Miserable day here and more rain expected over night.
I had a bit of a clear out in my craft room and added another table
to the mix but thankfully it works well!!

Heartfelt Hellos!

I had another wee play with my new stencils,
this time I went with shades of pinks/red and greens.
I cut the stencilled area off a bit to fit my card,
tore the edge and layered on top of some
matching bubble bath pink which I embossed with a dotty folder.
I then stamped the sentiment from a free set called
Heartfelt Hellos (free with a £45 spend from 4/1/24),
in the deep pink and lay some silver twine beneath it.
I added some gems to the flower centres.
Really quick and easy.

It's very quiet now after all the buzz of Christmas.
We had a great get together as a family on the Friday before Christmas.
Then on Christmas Eve we went to a beautiful Mass with an
amazing folk choir.
On Christmas morning the whole family was here for breakfast,
15 in total and it was the loveliest start to Christmas.
We spent the afternoon with my Mother-in-law
then came home and cooked a small Christmas dinner
for me and Brian (hubby).
I hope you all enjoyed your Christmas too.

Some pretty stencils!

With Christmas being just around the corner I thought
I would do something different for my Friday tutorial.

We have a new mini catalogue and Sale-a-bration! starting in January
and being a demo I got to treat myself early with a few
items from the catalogue.

This video tutorial shows off the brand new stencils
that will be available and they are lovely.
This set comes with stamps and dies but I just went for the stencils
to try them out first.
The sentiment I have used is from the free set I earned with
my spend and it is called Heartfelt Hellos!!
It's full of lovely sentiments of a good size and you can
grab it for free with a £45 spend from January 4th!

If you need a catalogue sent out just comment below.
(UK/Ireland only).

You can check out my video here.

Cocoa packs!

More cocoa packs today!
This one is for the baby of the house with cute fluffy socks
and lots of little treats.
I added one of my pre made tags to the top and paper
from Shining Christmas in the back and finished with a wool bow.

This one is for the oldest boy Oliver who is 15.
He still enjoys the treats but instead of socks
I put a fleece neck warmer in there.

And the final bunch are for the adults of the family.
I had nice adult flavour cocoa drinks so decided to add
the meringue bars, candy cane and a chocolate coin for good luck!
Plus it was great to get using up some of my leftover
Christmas papers!

Oh not long to go now!
I hope you are all set and ready to relax and enjoy the celebrations.
I have one more post tomorrow then I shall relax
until next week.
Too exciting to wait any longer as Sale-a-bration starts on
the 4th of January so I will save any Christmas money I get!!

Snow, snow, snow!

It's the second week of Valerie's challenge theme SNOW
over at
I'm hoping Valerie is now on the mend as she was quite ill
with COVID.
If you get time please pop over and add a tag,
which I am sure will cheer her up.

This tag was made using some older die sets for the deer, tree
and snowflake.
I tore some paper for the snow and inked it up.
The deer was coloured with my blends.
I stamped the sentiment from the Peaceful Deer set
and finished with some dots of snow and a yellow gem.

I had a little visitor come to play in my craft room over the weekend.
This is Aoife, my husband's cousin's daughter.
She is only 9 years old and came all the way from Liverpool
to visit us. She made loads of stuff including
the card above which she was very proud of!
A budding card maker for sure and I think her Santa
list has now greatly expanded 😂

Night in Bethlehem

Happy Monday!
It's time to share my midway post for
where the theme is at least one thing stamped plus option 'favourite colour.'

We have a two lovely prizes up for grabs so I hope
you get time during this busy month to join us.

I have gone with a traditional theme but not in traditional colours!
The name of this type of card is called an Eclipse card
and it's been a few years from my last one!
I used a stamp set called Night in Bethlehem
and the colour is called Fresh Freesia.

As this card is for my Mother-in-law I went ahead
and finished the inside using the same colours and stamps.
