Spring clean!

Happy Monday.
I have delved into more of my ribbon mess and this time
I made a quick video of things to helps with
different sized reels and a quick and easy method
to get through to the end quicker!!

This was my second drawer, and thankfully my last!
And this is how it cleaned up

If you are like me you will have off cuts of ribbon
no longer on a spool and they can be so
tangled and messy, so......

I ordered myself some bone shaped bobbins
along with some clips to hold them on.
Very cheap off Amazon and they did the job great.
I still have about 25 left for future left overs.

You can watch my quick video here

Feeling very organized!!

Here come the bride!

I had a wedding card to make recently
and decided to use the lovely image I got from
Mo's Patreon club.
I coloured them up with markers
and teamed them with papers and embellishments
printed from Nitwits wedding collection.
The flowers have been printed a few
times, then cut and layered up.

Confirmation time

My Grandson Sean will be making his Confirmation
in May and this is the card I made for him.

I saw lots of these on Pinterest and I see you can
buy the card and templates online but I
just had a crack at it myself.

It does fold fairly flat for an envelope but I won't be posting it.

I printed the background papers from a Nitwits file
and added my wording for the prayer and greeting
before printing.
It has all been matted onto some nice blue card.
I then used my dies and a Crafts you Print
confirmation cross for the centre.
The nice die cuts are from a Tattered lace pack
and I punched out some small crosses
and added a pearl and gem here and there.
I also punched two small leaves for the bottom.
Took me a while to complete after working out
my cuts but fairly pleased with the outcome.

Mid way double!

It's time for my midway post for our theme of
nature - flowers/birds/animals or anything goes at

Remember we have a great prize up for grabs so be sure and join us!

For my card I used a rectangle mask from Lisa Horton Crafts
and inside the rectangle I added some green, yellow
and orange inks, blended together.
I then stamped the flower and sentiment from a Hero Arts
set called Things we Love.
The flower has been coloured with markers.
I added some little dots and splodges using a set called
Hello Ladybug (SU).

I am so sharing my mid way post for
where the theme is favourite stamps + add lace or ribbon.

The prize up for grabs is this!!
So please come and join us!

For my card I have gone with an Easter theme
using a cute little family of ducks from a
stamp set called Fable Friends (SU).
Definitely a firm favourite with me!
I cut some gingham paper to fit my card along with
some white ribbon, and ran
it through my sewing machine.
I die cut a rectangle in white and added some
grass using a small stamp and some green markers.
I then stamped and coloured my ducks with markers
and cut them out by hand.
When I had added them to my card front
I stamped the sentiment and used my oval punch
to layer it up and stuck in place.

Easter Bunny

Meet Mr Easter Bunny,
my latest needle felt project.

I knit him a little jumper, hat and satchel
to carry some smaller eggs in!

The small eggs are different pastel colours.

And of course he had to had a nice big tail!

A real labour of love but I took my time so I wouldn't
blind myself in the process lol.

You can watch a quick video of him here

And this is my three Easter makes together

Having a play!

A nice way to start the week? Yes!
I am using up lots of neglected stash,
getting use out of my older stamps
and using up some of my ribbon stash!
For my tag I have used stamps from Scrapberry called Best Friends,
papers were a gift from my lovely friend Carol
and I embellished it with a sentiment card from a paper pack from
Echo Park called Dive into Summer.
The shape has been punched using my best trio punch (SU)
and I finished with a scrap of ribbon.
The little girl has been coloured using markers and
then fussy cut.

So to go along with my tag I had to include an ATC.
This time I went all inky using a stamp set
from AALL & Create (thank you Carol)
called See you Soon.
I used tahitian tide and boho blue inks (SU)
for the background along with a stencil
which was free with a magazine a long time ago.
The flowers have been coloured with
gel pens so they would cover the inky
stencilling beneath them.
I finished off with some enamel effects in grey
to add some texture.

my stencil has stripes and dots

So have I tempted you to have a play?
Our new challenge will be open for the
1st May and our very first theme is
ANYTHING GOES
so get some practise in and be sure
and hit the follow button HERE!

After all my gardening I have ended up with a very
sore back! I can't sit, stand or lie without severe pain!
So not much fun until this subsides!!
Gardening will be a spectator sport from now on!!!

First birthday girl!

This is the card I made for my cute little Granddaughter
Aimee's first birthday which will be on the 13th.
She is absolutely adorable and getting into everything!!
But she makes everyone smile for sure.

I have gone with papers from Nitwits,
image is from Mo's Digital Pencil and I paper pieced the balloon.
All embellishments are cut from Nitwits and I
simply added her name and sentiment along with a little
bow and flower gem.
She has been coloured up with markers.

Easter chick

I snuck some time to do a needle felted chick.
I didn't have any yellow so went with white and added
some orange for her beak and feet.
The headband is a little bit of gingham ribbon.

You can see her here in this quick video

Double Day!

I'm giving a cheeky reminder to pop over to our new challenge
and click the follow button!!
It might well be worth your while 😉

***********************************

Our new challenge theme over at
is nature - flowers/birds, animals or anything goes option
but remember to stamp!

We have a lovely prize on offer too,
who wouldn't want to win these!!!

For my card I embossed some green card with a flower folder (Sizzix).
I then tore some vellum and added a foiled transfer
border to the middle from crafters companion.
I stamped the flowers using a stamp from Bee Crafty
called Vintage Springtime and coloured it up with markers.
I then stamped and die cut the pot from an SU set
called Country Flowers. I mounted it onto my base card to finish.

It's also time for our new challenge at
and the theme this month is
use your favourite stamps and add ribbon/lace
along with anything goes option.

We have a lovely prize up for grabs here too!

So be sure and join us in both challenges this month!!

I pulled out an old but favourite stamp of mine called
On to Adventure (SU) to make a retirement card for a friend
who is heading off on a big holiday to celebrate!
She has been coloured up with markers and mounted onto
some lilac card. For the base I used the same card and
some paper called Delightfully Eclectic (SU)
and a border of lace was added before
adding my top image.
I stamped the sentiment very crookedly I see,
on top of the image but will layer it up to fix!

Ribbon tidy!

Spring must be in the air as I decided to have a clear
out of one of my ribbon drawers and get it organized!

I made a bunch of ribbon holders using old card and
my very best trio punch.
There are lots of videos out there showing this method
but if you would like to see how I made them
just shout below and I will do a video.

I didn't bother scoring etc. I just used my eye,
punched the slit and wrapped around the ribbon spool.
It definitely works great though!!

Such a simple technique and my ribbons now stay put
when I have finished with them.
Now on to the next drawer 😂

Have a great weekend everyone!

Step into another birthday!

I made this stepper card for an upcoming family birthday.
She is into running and is super fit and sporty
so thought this image from Saturated Canary would
suit her well.
The papers are called Delightfully Eclectic (SU)
I teamed it up with purple card and ribbon.
The quote is from Enjoy Life stamp set (SU)
and the Sentiment is from Sweet Ice cream (SU).
I punched out some flowers and added some
card candi coloured to match for the centres.
The image has been coloured using markers.

Another sunny day so we are back out into the garden
for lots of work.
We have been building a patio, digging new planting areas
and sorting lots of bits and pieces.
Back breaking work for sure but so pleasant
as it is not RAINING!!

Enjoy your day.
