Poinsetta Petals Christmas card

Not long to go now and I have another last minute card!!

I broke into my brand new stash and used the
Stitched with Whimsy dies
which will be available in January.
They don't cut the card just mark it with double stitching
and comes in 6 different sizes.
I hand cut around mine to get the nice shape.
I then stamped the flowers using Poinsettia Petals,
coloured them with real red blends and shaded
the background using Bermuda Bay ink and wink of stella.

Staying put today unless I venture out for a walk before lunch.
My son works in our Shopping Centre and said
it was MAD yesterday with not very nice people!
No thank you!!
Stay safe and enjoy the twinkling lights
and a wee cup of what you fancy.

Travelling to Bethlehem

I bought myself some Shimmer Paint and wanted to challenge myself
to mix it with inks and make some backgrounds.
So this is what I made!
It really does shimmer (you probably can't see that unfortunately).
I just wanted a clean and simple card.

I started by putting some ink on an ink block and mixed with the shimmer paint.
I used Bermuda Bay ink for the sky and Daffodil Delight for the sand.
On some watercolour card I painted over with water first,
then dipped into the colours and created the background.
Using the Night in Bethlehem stamp set I stamped in
Memento ink, the image and sentiment.
I matted it all onto black card then stuck to my base card.
I used a gel pen to add some twinkling stars.
I'm pretty pleased with my first attempt and will definitely
be trying the Shimmer paint on other items!

My sentiment is looking a bit wonky! Opps!
So I will stamp again and layer it up!
We have a family bereavement at the minute so head is elsewhere.

Special event!

I have made a Christening/baptism card today.
Quite simple but very elegant and perfect for the occasion,
don't you think?
Change the wording and it could become a wedding invitation.

I used my lovely
Inspired Events stamp set

along with Soft Suede ink pad
and the very gorgeous

The card has been finished with pearls!

To make this card:
1. Cut your corner die using whisper white card
2. Adhere using liquid glue
3. Stamp your sentiments using blocks or stamparatus in Soft Suede
4. Embellish with pearls.

Simple, quick and easy!
You could easily do these as Christening/First Communion/Confirmation
cards or invitations. Change your ink colour for boy or girl.
And if you are using the Stamparatus you can leave your stamps in place
and just repeat stamp a bunch of cards.
