Halloween goodies!

This is the some of the goodies I have prepared for
our Grandsons for Halloween.

The cube boxes hold some chocolate balls,
the orange one at the back with the bat on it
holds a wagon wheel.
Lots of burnt fingers making these with the
hot glue gun!!

The coffin box holds some chews with a few coins
wrapped in the same paper inside
and the one to the front holds the cake bar.

I have also threw in a chocolate skeleton, crisps
and one of those slap wrist bands.

I used papers from The Works and the stamp set
was Tricks & Treats from SU.
The bats were also from the Works.

Day of the Dead!!

It is Michele's turn to pick the theme over at
and she has gone with
Day of the Dead!!

I don't have any stamps related to that theme but
I did get this lovely free download from Vectoria Designs.

It came with the little mini book cover which I turned into a
pocket for the tag.
I added the wording to the front of the pocket
and printed the tag off twice so I could layer up some of the
flowers and added a sentiment on the bottom.
I finished it with some ribbon and then added lots of
glaze to the places I wanted to pop.

I hope you get time to join us this fortnight!

Football Crazy!

It was our Grandson Sean's 11th birthday last week
and as always, I like to make a box of some sort to gift
him some money and of course chocolate!

He is very much into his Gaelic and supports Man United
FC so I went with the football theme and their colours.

Inside it holds two bars of chocolate and a loop in the middle
allows you to pop in some money.
It closes using some Velcro dots.

Guitar man!

I had a birthday card to make for my youngest brother
and he is into his guitars.
I followed a sketch over at
Cheerful Sketches Challenge for the layout.
The papers are from a pack called Rock & Roll (SU).
I used different ones for the layers and
also cut three guitars from the papers and coloured them
using parakeet party markers.
The sentiments are from a set called
Music - play on sentiments from Paper Discovery.
I die cut some music notes using a die from them
as well called Lost in Music musical panels.

Boo...Eek!

It's the second week of my Halloween theme over at

This time I went with a scary Frankenstein head.
I inked up the background and stamped some bats
and wording. This was matted onto some black card.
I then stamped the image and cut him out to
add to my tag.
I finished with some linen string.

For my second tag I simply stamped the Halloween label
in the centre and then added the stamped bats around the edges.
I blended with some purple ink but it's not showing
at all in the photo.
It was mounted onto black card and I finished
it with some string and bakers twine.

Treats, not tricks!

I pulled out my envelope punch board to make these
little packages for the boys treat bags.
They hold any of those little cake bars perfectly
and you only need a piece of white card
and whatever Halloween stamps you might have.

You can watch my tutorial here and whip up
a load of these in no time.

Measurements needed to make one
Card - 5 1/2" x 5 1/2"
1st punch mark - 1 1/2"
2nd punch mark - 2 7/8"

For my boxes I have used light weight card,
pumpkin pie, gorgeous grape, poppy parade
and parakeet party inks.
The stamp set is called Tricks & Treats (SU).
Black ribbon, postage stamp punch
and black ink.
And of course, my envelope punch board.

Thankfully yesterday we had no damage to the trees around us
other than a garden, front and back, jam packed with leaves.
The colours are amazing though and the sun is shining on them now!
Have a great week!

Anyone for tea?

It's time for my mid month DT card for
where the theme is anything goes option Autumn Colours.

We have a great prize from

I found an old pack of teapot templates from Craftworks and decided
to make one for my Mother-in-law's birthday.

I traced the template onto my chosen papers and
cut it out. The papers are also Craftworks.
I inked the edges using pumpkin spice ink and
glued to the template.
I then covered a separate lid in the same way with
a different piece of paper and inked it up.
I attached a rectangle of card to the lid
and stamped a message using  a stamp set called
Approaching Perfection (SU).
The birthday sentiment is stamped and punched using
a bundle called Oval Occasions.
I then stamped two of each flower from a set called
Floral Essence. I cut them out and layered them up.
The centres have been made using some pearlized enamel effects drops.
I then stamped the leaves in old olive ink and punched them out.
I doubled up the back of the teapot to make a pocket
for my lid to slip into.

I then added the flowers and sentiment and finished off
the handle by wrapping some green twine around the handle
and added two beads to the ends.
The bow was then added to the removable lid.

I hope you get time to join us this month.

So I went very bright with lots of
Autumn colours in there.

and cut and set it place.
The teenage badge is from google and

The rain we had last night was crazy.
The noise alone was enough to keep me awake
and it got unseasonably warm!
What's going on! I want warm cosy fires,
blankets and a good book or movie lol.

Haunted house!

It was my turn to choose the theme over at
TAG TUESDAY
and I have gone with Halloween!

I had a few tags to make for the Grandkids albums and goodie bags
so it was a good incentive for me lol.

This one has been made with making an inky background
to which I stamped bats and cobwebs from a stamp set called
Tricks & Treats. I stamped the house separately
and added colour to the windows and door.
It was cut out and stuck in place.
I backed it onto some black card and added
some string for a spooky feel.

My next tag was a bit less colourful but I did use the house
again. I stamped it directly onto the tag
and then stamped the trick or treat sentiment.

It was inked lightly in purple ink and the windows and doors
where coloured in with a fluorescent yellow gel pen.
I finished with some string and bakers twine.

I hope you get time to join in my challenge this fortnight.

Stash Buster 1

As some of you know, I am in the process of using up a lot of
my stash making mini albums, cards and boxes.
So this weekend I decided I would hunt down
some very old tutorials by various artists,
which I will give credit to of course,
and remake them with my stash!

So my first one is from The Crafty Thinker from way back
in 2017. It had no video tutorial so I thought I would do one.

As you can see this makes up into a cute gift package for
some kit kat bars.
It uses one sheet of card and a strip of fancy paper.

You can watch my video here

Measurements needed
Card - a4 x 11"

And relax!!

Another family birthday card for another brother-in-law.
This one is in to golf but I've done golf for a few years now
so I went with his other hobby, watching the telly
and having a beer lol.

This image from Mo's Digital pencil was perfect
and to cut back on the colouring I paper pieced the sofa.
The rest has been coloured with my markers
and the papers have come from a Nitwits download
called Pocake masculine set.

Fall Y'all!

I got this lovely image via Mo's Patreon group
and thought she would be perfect for Valerie's theme
of Seasons over at

She has been coloured up using my markers,
the background clouds have been stencilled
and I stamped and punched some smaller leaves
as her base.
The leaves at the top were stamped using Stylish Sketches (SU)
and coloured with markers,
but they do look a bit out of proportion lol.
The sentiment came with the image
which is called Fall Yall!

I had a card to make for a little boy turning 3 this month

We had a lovely day at Aimee's Christening yesterday.
She was so good, even being past from post to pillar
and loads of strange faces. Not a cheep out of her.
The big moment and she took it in her stride.

Proud Mummy and Daddy.

Hubby and me stealing a moment.

Autumn has arrived!

It's time for our October challenge over at
and the theme is anything goes with the option of Autumn Colours.

We have a great prize from

For my card I used a set I won from AAll & Create called
Sent with Love.
I inked up the background around the flower with yellow ink,(SU)
then stamped the flower on top.
I stamped the smaller flower beside it and then stamped
both flower heads again, coloured with markers and
cut out so I could 3d them on top.
I added some faux stitching and some scribbles
(lost the run of myself there lol).
I finished with a thinking of you sentiment
shaded in the same markers.

I hope you get a chance to join us this month!
