Shell-o-brate!

I am out of action at the minute due to pains in my

wrists (yes both) and the thumb on my left hand and

right up into my neck and shoulders.

I have been told to rest and have to wear a brace on my

left hand which mucks up any chance of crafting.

The pain is something else so not up for much of anything!

Hopefully I will get back to normal again in a few weeks.

In the meantime I had already prepared a few things for this week.

It's the second week of  Wendy's theme

SHELLS

over at Tag Tuesday

and I have gone with an Elizabeth Bell digi stamp

along with my seaside background and some shell images.

The little girl has been coloured using promarkers, copics

and Stampin' Up! blends.

The sentiment was computer generated.

My final card using sketch 16 from

I think this was my least favourite sketch to use but

I got there in the end.

I have used Basic Borders for the icing on the cake and

embossed each paper piece using my swirls embossing folder.

The candles have been stamped using the retired

Broadway birthday set and the background is

bumblebee card. Not sure that was the right colour choice

but hey ho it's done now!

I have cut the polar bear from the

Penguin Playmates papers and stamped

a little snowy background for him using Penguin Place stamps

and fresh freesia ink pad.

The background mats were made using Misty Moonlight card.

We had a great day at Carlingford yesterday with temperatures of 25 degrees!

We went for a short walk along the water edge and up round the castle

then sat down with a big 99!

Dull as ditch water today though!!

She sells sea shells by the seashore!

Our new challenge theme at

has been chosen by Wendy and she wants to see SHELLS!

I do not have any shell stamps so I went with

this ready to print background.

I added the sentiment using my computer

and printed off the girl called Marie

from LiaStampz.

She has been coloured up with promarkers

and stuck in place. What a giant selection of shells she found 😂

as I thought it screamed Birthday candles!

I teamed it up with fresh freesia card stock

and the candle flames were cut using bumblebee card.

YES another Halloween card this time using sketch 14 from

Kendra's Card Challenge 3.

Again the colours just shouted Halloween so

I dug out an old stamp set from Tim Holtz for the cat and embossing folder.

Everything else came from Banner Year stamp set.

I tied the two papers with pumpkin pie card

and the sentiment was stamped in Blackberry Bliss ink.

The embossed background was ink using Granny Apple Green ink.

We ventured out this morning to a large furniture shop.

Just about 200 yards from shop the road was closed so we

had a 15 minute detour to circle right around to get to the shop lol.

Sadly nothing purchased this time but interesting drive!

Another Christmas card using Sketch 12 from

Can't believe I am on my 12th Christmas card!!

For this one I have used an old embossing folder from

Desire. The sentiment is from Itty Bitty Christmas (retired)

and I have gone with misty moonlight card and ink.

The little banners are held in place using trim from

Simply Elegant trim set and I have added metallic pearls

to the die cut snowflakes using a Tutti designs die.

I was babysitting for a short time this morning

for my wee Grandson who is a ball of energy lol.

Such a cute wee boy and so entertaining!

Now some crafting and then a lie down lol.

 

Blue and Orange at Tag Tuesday

It's the second week of Michele's theme

Blue and Orange

over at Tag Tuesday!

For my tag I cut my tag from a DCWV paper stack called

All Dressed Up. It was black and white with a bit of sparkle.

So I inked up the bottom using pumpkin pie ink

and the top used coastal cabana.

The dragonfly was embossed with silver embossing powder,

punched and coloured with the same inks.

I stamped the sentiment from Dragonfly Garden

in pumpkin pie ink and layered onto black card.

I finished it with a bright orange bow.

This was really easy to put together,

embossing the background,

adding my pre cut papers then

I just cut out the cute little foxes and

finished with a sentiment and baker's twine bow.

We had a lovely day out to Omeath yesterday

and I can tell you I really needed it!!

Weather was overcast but very warm, perfect walking temperatures.

I got my 10,000 steps no bother at all

and we even had a sandwich in Subway for the first time

in a year and a half 😂

 

Colour challenge at Tag Tuesday

Michele has chosen our new theme this time at

TAG TUESDAY

and she wants us to use blue and orange!

I wasn't intending to do a Christmas tag but it just sort of happened 😂

I went with a pocket tag using my envelope punch board and

pacific blue card stock. Perfect for a gift voucher!

I embossed it with a snowflake embossing folder.

The little snow couple is from an old stamp set called

spirited snowmen.

I coloured them in orange and blue

and finished the tag with some orange and white spotty ribbon.

What a mixed up weekend of weather that was!!

Hopefully this little sheep was sheltered out of the storms lol.

I am starting the week with card sketch 11 following

Today I have used the cute little stamp set called

COUNTING SHEEP.
