Circles!

I'm sharing my midway post for

TAG-ALONG (and ATC's)

where the CIRCLE theme was chosen by Lynn

but you can go with the anything goes theme

if you want.

For my tag I used an old Woodware stamp

called bubble bloom Clarissa.

I started with some green background

paper from my stash.

I think it came as a  magazine freebie.

I inked around the edges in black.

I stamped the flower after punching

my tag shape used the Best Trio Punch (SU).

I coloured the leaves with markers then

added some white highlights.

I then added some card candi to the larger circles

and filled the smaller one with dots of 

pearlised enamel dots.

I finished with some pink ribbon and a

word sticker (HD) highlighted with

white pen.

For my ATC I used a background I had

created on my gel plate.

I stamped some text to the background.

I stamped the circles using a stamp from

IndigoBlu Circle & Text stamps in black.

I then stamped the trophies using a stamp

from CreateKrafts called All Star Sports.

I added some gold to the trophy and coloured

the rest with markers.

I then inked around the edges in black and

added some sticker words (HD) and highlighted

with black pen.

Scrap Buster!

I had a raid through my scrap box today

choosing the tiny bits we can't bear to dump

but not sure what to use them for!

So I made a strip from them, adding

stitching, punched hearts and stars

corner rounder,

and some quotes using my Contact USA alphabets.

I did one strip using my coloured paper scraps

and one using black and white paper scraps.

 along with some broad masking tape.

Another Christmas card for my stash!

I went with a fun fold and items used were

Anna Marie Designs papers

Polkadoodles Vintage Snowman stamps and dies

Tutti Designs snowflakes

Markers to colour

Ice star stencil (Dutch Doobadoo) with TH 

crystal embossing paste.

Dotty stencil (SU) with gold ink.

Sentiment stamps - Snowman Season (SU).

It's a very simple fold but looks pretty.

And room on the back to add a verse.

Trees & leaves

Our September challenge theme over at

We Love Stamping

is trees and/or leaves chosen by Emma.

We have two lovely prizes up for grabs so

be sure and get your entries in.

For my card I used three stamps sets called

Forever Fern, Enjoy Life and Crackle Paint (SU).

I started with a piece of cream card and

stamped with the crackle paint stamp.

I then stamped the leaves around the edges

in green ink.

I then inked in a lighter green around the edges.

I added some yellow above the leaves.

Next I used some embossing paste (SU)

and an old tree branch stencil (SU)

over the top of the leaves and then added

some metallic pearlised dots in red.

Next I splattered here and there with

white ink.

When dry I wrapped some yellow ribbon

around the centre of the card.

I then cut some circles in green, yellow and white

and stamped my sentiment before chopping the circles.

I stamped some more leaves and cut

them out to add to the side.

I stuck to my layers and finished with a

bow in the same ribbon.

Faux stepper!

Another card for a customer for her Granddaughter.

I went with a fun fold shape and the image is

from Mo's Digital Pencil called Coffee.

She has been coloured up with markers

and cut in an oval shape.

The papers are retired ones from SU.

I punched out some flowers and leaves

to decorate and then stamped the

sentiments using 

Itty Bitty Birthdays & A Grand Kid (SU).

I finished with a bow and some

card candi.

Here is the side view

I added the verse to the back

of the card.

Full deck challenge

I came across a challenge group over on Facebook

called Full Deck Challenge and decided to give it a go.

You use a deck of cards, decorating one a week,

following a set of prompts for each one.

They are basically ATC's but some cards can be

smaller or bigger.

So I jumped in and made this one

with an old deck of cards.

I used a scrap of gingham in blue and

the little bear is from a stamp set by

CreateKrafts. He was coloured up with

markers and I then added some sticker words

to finish. 

These can be collected on a ring,

bound together into a book or used

as card toppers and of course,

they are great for using up your scraps!

Going round in circles!

Our new challenge theme for September at

Tag-along (and ATC's)

has been chosen by Lynn and she wants

to see circles. Of course you can go with

the anything goes option.

For my tag I used a stamp set called Latte Love (SU).

I made my background by stamping the coffee

stain circles and some splodges in brown.

I inked around the edges and added some

gold mesh along the bottom before attaching to

my red base mat.

Next I stamped the coffee cup and some beans.

They were die cut and added to base.

I added a sentiment from the same set

and finished with some string and

bakers twine.

For my ATC I started with a book page

to which I added some distress oxide

in different colours.

I then drew out my circles and added

some design in black and white inks.

This was inspired by a tag I saw on Pinterest.

I added some squiggles around the edges

and finished with the word I made

using clear tape and letters from a

local shop's junk mail!

Good old summertime

I absolutely rushed this page and made

on large mess of my craft table

but I wanted to get a page done for

this month's challenge over at

Art Journal Journey

where the theme is

'the good old summertime'.

I used a stamp set called Sweet ice cream (SU),

stella paste in black which I leaned on before

it was dry!!

I used stencils from AALL & Create

and polkadoodles

and lots of distress oxides.

 

Christmas Angel

As always looking for something and found

something else lol.

I came across a book of LOTV Christmas images

and decided to make a Christmas card.

I used a shaped die from Tattered Lace

and totally regretted it later as the layers

are way too far apart for layering.

It's showing far too much of the gold mirri

card but no going back at that point!

I used papers from Anne Marie Designs

Christmas Jingle along with gold mirri.

I die cut some flowers for each corner

using a Marianne Design die.

I added a band of gold mesh and a strip

cut from the same paper pack

and finished with a sentiment.

As my mission is to use up my stash

I am happy enough!

Monday Morning Blues

Happy Monday!

This card for made for my sister-in-law.

I went with shades of blue for the base.

I then used papers from IndigoBlu magazine,

chopping them up and adding lots of layers.

I stitched around the main piece with my

sewing machine, added some lace across the middle.

I then stamped the flower and coloured

with my markers.

I die cut lots of leaves and inked some up

for added texture behind the main flower.

I then stamped the sentiment and layered

up in the same backing cards.

I added a few layers of ribbon and some

more layers before adding the sentiment

and flower.

I stamped the butterfly onto a scrap of the

paper I had used and then made

a wax melt in a similar colour

and added with some fibres.

I finished with a little bow.

Recycling fun!

My hubby had received two cards on

Father's Day that came in these

pretty envelopes. The outside is

a lovely shade of blue and the inside

is spotty!

So I held on to them, as you do, and

spent ages trying to work out how to

use them to make a folio.

I finally did lol!

So I used two envelopes and one

sheet of 12" x 12" paper.

To decorate I used a couple of

6" x 6" papers.

Inside I had added notebook, journal card,

sketch book, mini envelopes, word tags,

bookmarker and tags.

Sunshine blooms

WE LOVE STAMPING

where the theme is summer blooms.

For my card I went with yellow colours.

I stencilled the sunshine behind

using a stencil from Crafts Direct 2U

using Lemon Lolly ink.

I then cut two circles, one in yellow

and the other in white for my flower.

The flower stamp is from CreateKrafts

and has been coloured with markers.

When all put together I stamped

the sentiment directly on to the front

using the same stamp set

I added a tiny bow using matching ribbon.

Fashion!

I'm here to share my mid month tag and ATC for our

fashion theme over at

Tag-along (and ATC's).

This time I used a gorgeous oval tag from

Tonic Studios which has embossing

around the top.

I stamped my image using 

Uptown Girl Polly loves perfume

and coloured it up with markers.

I ink blended in yellow and pink

distress oxides around my image.

I highlighted the embossing with

black fine liner

and stamped some little flowers and

sentiment in the pink area

using a stamp called Dressed to Impress (SU).

I used an old SU stencil

and some embossing paste to

add texture and then splattered in

white ink.

I finished with a black organza bow.

Moving along with the times - feminine

For my ATC I went with a masculine fashion feel.

The background was made by inking

up using distress oxides.

I then stamped the main image using

a set from The Stamp Man - Men 2.

In the gaps I stamped some dots using

a set from Visible Image called

grunge tones.

I finished with some stencilled numbers (SU)

and embossing paste and

added some splattered white and gold ink.
