A little bit of PINK

Today I am sharing another tag for my theme of
add some pink
over at

For this one I used scraps of paper which I cut into
strips and covered the base of my tag.
I inked round the edges of the tag then
die cut a large heart (Spellbinders dies) and ran it through a
dotty embossing folder from Cuttlebug.
I stamped the SMILE from a set called
Love This Moment (SU), and backed it onto some
matching paper and stuck to the centre of the heart.
The tag was finished with some tulle and a
little paper flower.

I hope you get time to join me this week.
You just need to add a little or a lot of  PINK.

Tweet birdhouse!

My Stash Buster video this week shows how to use some
pretty papers to make a cute little bird house to hold
some treats.

The roof is made in layered stripes.
My roof  has slipped to the right but it is not
glued in place, just held by a clip,
so an easy fix lol.
I have used old papers from my stash
along with Happy Hedgehogs stamp set,
markers and some acetate.

You can watch my tutorial here

Meet Patch!

This is my second needle felting project.
No kit this time, just playing around to see what
would happen lol.
This boy has been named Patch by one of my followers
daughters on Facebook, so Patch it is.
He started out a different colour entirely but I ran
out of the colour before I could finish lol
so had to cover him again in the brown wool.

To help disguise his patchy skin I knit him
a little jumper and felted a heart on the front.
The eyes are a bit scary but with practise I
hope to improve!!

Birthday boy!

Today I am sharing a card made for a friend's Grandson.
I have used an image from Bugaboo
and the papers are from an old pack called
Birthday from Paper Pizazz HOTP.
The image has been coloured up using my
markers and I added embellishments from
the same pack along with some punched stars.
The sentiments are all computer generated.

In the PINK!

It's my turn to choose the theme for
and I have made it very easy for you, so no excuses!
Just add some pink! Any shade, any amount,
entirely up to you!

For my tag I have used a stamp from AALL & Create called
Fragile Fragment. Stamped in black then I inked over it
using my blending brush in polished pink ink (SU).
I then re-
stamped the heart and number tiles and cut
them out to 3d onto my tag.
I finished with a die cut tag top from
Elizabeth Craft Designs.

I hope you get time to join my theme this fortnight.

Double Post

Our February challenge over at
has begun.
This month we have the option of
Romance/wedding/anniversary
along with anything goes.
Just be sure and include some stamping!

As always, we have a great prize up for grabs

For my card I have used a lovely stamp from AALL & Create
called Fragile Fragments.
The card is a tall slim one and the stamp
fitted it perfectly. I stamped it in black then added
colour using my markers.
I matted it onto black then onto my slim pink card.
I stamped the Valentine sentiment from a stamp set called
Country Bouquet (SU) in pink ink and matted onto black
before adding to my card.
I punched out some small hearts and coloured them
in the same colour and added to card using dimensionals.

and stamped my scene inside.

I added faux stitching around the edges along
with stamping Grandson and Happy Birthday.
It was matted onto black card then onto my
white card base.

Henry the mouse!

Meet Henry the mouse!
This is my very first needle felted piece.
I hadn't a clue what I was doing and got many bloody
fingers from stabbing myself lol,
but I absolutely became addicted right away.

I made a little box to keep him in with an acetate window
and printed his name using my label maker.

Hopefully I will get to make another one soon!

Double angled pillar card!

I was inspired to make this card when I saw a lovely card my crafty friend
Carol made recently. Carol had followed a tutorial from Iced Images
for a right angled pillar card.
So I went to check it out and as I watched the tutorial this designed
popped into my head so I went about making a double angled
pillar card.
The first one I made is a 2" x 2" panel but I thought it stuck out too much
so I went back to the drawing board and came up with this one.

See how my pillar is half the depth of the previous one?
It also still folds flat even with the two angles
and fits into a 6" envelope.

I have a tutorial you can watch to make this particular one
with the double angles and smaller pillar

Flower Box Card

My only living Aunt's birthday is coming up next month
and I like to make her a special card so I went with a
Flower Box card.
The tulips and leaves have all be stamped and fussy cut
and the stems were cut from green card.
I stamped and coloured a little butterfly
and added ribbon, gems and a circle sentiment.

It folds flat for posting and fits into an 8" x 8" envelope.

I even had room for a nice verse on the back.

I used Flower Box Card dies from Cardmaking Magic,
Timeless Tulips stamp set (SU),
Highland Heather, Garden Green, Sweet Sorbet and Bubble Bath inks (SU),
Garden Green and lilac card from my stash, organza ribbon
and gems and the papers are called
Delightfully Eclectic (SU).

We are sitting in the eye of the storm at the minute.
The lights are flickering so expecting the electric to go soon.
So far we have lost some cladding from the side of the house
and the chimney is struggling.
My son has a tree down, my other son has fence down
and their neighbour's roof has started to come down!
So scary and dangerous. I hope everyone is keeping
indoors and away from falling debris!

It's time for a new challenge over at

a postage stamp!

I had collected some stamps over Christmas to keep
for this theme and make my background tag with them.
I then stamped Charlie the Postman from Whiff of Joy
and coloured him up with markers.
I added a sentiment using my label maker
and finished the tag off with some ribbon.

I hope you get time to play along this fortnight.

Keep in touch!

I have another tag for Valerie's theme
New Beginnings over at

This week I went with the theme 'keep in touch'.
How many of us say we will keep in touch
but don't? And at this age it usually ends up too late :(

I found this Lili of the Valley image and thought it
would work perfectly with my triangular shaped tag.
The shape came about as I had some scraps left over
from a previous project lol.

So this little bear actually comes with a large sunflower
so I cut that away and coloured him up with markers
and wrote 'keep in touch' on his little envelope.

I hope you get time to join us this week.
