Flower fairy!

So I was hoking about some boxes in my craft room
for a certain Hunkydory card kit and came across
some of these gorgeous wee fairy decoupage sheets.
They are from Reddy Creative Cards.

I must have them for absolute years!!
So I decided to make an art journal page using one of them.
There is a challenge for art journals and their
theme is trees so that is where I started.

I added scraps of paper to my page all
around the outer edge.
I then covered it in a coat of gesso.
I then added some pink gelato and acrylic
paint to get some colour.
The trees were made using a stencil (SU)
of tree trunks in brown ink in the centre.
I then sponged some light green and dark green
acrylic paints to create the tree top.
I then stamped some leaves over the top of that
using a stamp set called Life is Beautiful (SU).
Next I used some fun flock to create a mossy bottom
and added some punched flowers and
pearlized enamel effects for the centres.
Next I popped out the little angel
and stuck her in place.
I highlighted some areas with my black pen.
I added the wording which I got from
Willowing Arts.
At this stage I should have left it but NOOOOO!
I decided to cover the corner in yellow paper
to look like a sunshine.
I stamped the sentiment from the
Life is Beautiful stamp set (SU)
and finally finished by splattering some gold ink
and adding some
white acrylic paint around the edges.
Then when dry I added some faux stitching.

It was very therapeutic and fun but my
desk was a complete and utter mess lol.

Nature's Beauty tag

I haven't made an inky scape for ages so thought I would have a go.
This one uses a lovely new stamp set called
Nature's Beauty
which will be available on 4th September.
But it's a very special set as £2.50 of every sale goes towards Mental Health
organisations!! I think that is such a lovely thing to do and it certainly is
a very important charity!!
The stamp set has trees, foilage, leaves, grass, a deer, a fox and a rabbit
and last but not least some falling snow!

Sunshine at last!

I finally grabbed a few hours to continue my art journal.
This past two weeks we have had so much rain!!
We are all sick of it, after all it's June!!
So today we had a bit of sunshine and blue skies and it made everything seem better.
My page today tries to reflect what I saw when out for a walk.
The bird song was amazing, the bugs, butterflies and bees where popping out
from everything. The growth in grass and bushes was amazing!

I covered my page with gesso coloured with some yellow (it's gone now lol)
I stamped the crackle glaze stamp over the top in soft suede but didn't like it much.
So I kept the bottom bit and covered the top in bermuda bay ink and gesso
using my trusty stencil to give some texture.
I splattered it with night of navy for a rainy effect then added
my bird, leaves and flowers.
I finished with a sentiment and some punched butterflies coloured with
so saffron ink and wink of stella for the flowers.

Have a lovely day!!
