50th celebrations!

Making a start on my May birthdays now.
My daughter-in-law will be reaching the
grand old age of 50
so I wanted to make a special card for her.

I went with a pop up box card,
adding lots of balloons, candles, stars
and number 50 of course.

I added layers of tulle behind each layer and a bit of
natural fibre in pink at the very back.
There is room for a verse on the back.

Stamps used
Broadway Birthday, Beautiful Balloons,
Approaching Perfection - all SU.
Studio G alphabet stamps.
Papers - DCWV all dressed up pack.
Number Dies SU.

The sun is shinning here today and hopefully
it's here to stay for a while.
I have a bunch of new plants to pop into the
garden and the sun will make it a much
nicer experience lol.
Have a lovely weekend.

Birthday boy!

This card has been made for my Son Deaglan's birthday
which is on the 21st of this month.

I have used papers from We R Memory Keepers,
stamps from Beyond Stamping #5
and IndigoBlu Magazine
colour with markers and the fancy
interactive (peep hole/kaleidscope) inside is from a tutorial from
Emilia Sieradzan on Facebook.
I used oval dies and circle punches.

I put a  photo of him inside the little peep hole
which reveals when fully opened.

Shutter card

My Mother-in-law's 86th birthday is coming up this month
and I always like to make her a funfold card.
I used a Tattered Lace die for this shutter card.
The papers are from a Basic Grey set called Sultry.
Stamp sets used
Happy Birthday to You, Alphabest, Approaching Perfection
and Painted Seasons, all SU.
I added ribbons, brads, pearls and a leaf punch.
The flowers have been double stamped and cut and layered.

This is a side view.
It does close flat and fits into a larger envelope.

Confirmation time

My Grandson Sean will be making his Confirmation
in May and this is the card I made for him.

I saw lots of these on Pinterest and I see you can
buy the card and templates online but I
just had a crack at it myself.

It does fold fairly flat for an envelope but I won't be posting it.

I printed the background papers from a Nitwits file
and added my wording for the prayer and greeting
before printing.
It has all been matted onto some nice blue card.
I then used my dies and a Crafts you Print
confirmation cross for the centre.
The nice die cuts are from a Tattered lace pack
and I punched out some small crosses
and added a pearl and gem here and there.
I also punched two small leaves for the bottom.
Took me a while to complete after working out
my cuts but fairly pleased with the outcome.

Step into another birthday!

I made this stepper card for an upcoming family birthday.
She is into running and is super fit and sporty
so thought this image from Saturated Canary would
suit her well.
The papers are called Delightfully Eclectic (SU)
I teamed it up with purple card and ribbon.
The quote is from Enjoy Life stamp set (SU)
and the Sentiment is from Sweet Ice cream (SU).
I punched out some flowers and added some
card candi coloured to match for the centres.
The image has been coloured using markers.

Another sunny day so we are back out into the garden
for lots of work.
We have been building a patio, digging new planting areas
and sorting lots of bits and pieces.
Back breaking work for sure but so pleasant
as it is not RAINING!!

Enjoy your day.

Flower Box Card

My only living Aunt's birthday is coming up next month
and I like to make her a special card so I went with a
Flower Box card.
The tulips and leaves have all be stamped and fussy cut
and the stems were cut from green card.
I stamped and coloured a little butterfly
and added ribbon, gems and a circle sentiment.

It folds flat for posting and fits into an 8" x 8" envelope.

I even had room for a nice verse on the back.

I used Flower Box Card dies from Cardmaking Magic,
Timeless Tulips stamp set (SU),
Highland Heather, Garden Green, Sweet Sorbet and Bubble Bath inks (SU),
Garden Green and lilac card from my stash, organza ribbon
and gems and the papers are called
Delightfully Eclectic (SU).

We are sitting in the eye of the storm at the minute.
The lights are flickering so expecting the electric to go soon.
So far we have lost some cladding from the side of the house
and the chimney is struggling.
My son has a tree down, my other son has fence down
and their neighbour's roof has started to come down!
So scary and dangerous. I hope everyone is keeping
indoors and away from falling debris!

Stepper Christmas

I was doing some blog commenting and went to check out my lovely friend
Chrissy's blog. She had made the most beautiful step card and
really inspired me to have a go.
As the challenge closes tomorrow I thought I better get to it.

I pulled out an old stamp set called Poinsettia Petals for my flowers,
leaves and sentiments. They have been coloured up with my markers.
The papers are also from an old pack
and the Happy Christmas has been die cut using an old set
called Word Wishes.
I added some enamel effects in real red and white
which I put my finger into many times 😂

I followed Chrissy's inspiration for the little band of matching
card and paper on the inside and stamped another sentiment.

We have had a great weekend of celebrations!!
Our county team Armagh won the All Ireland Cup!
We had most of the family over for the day to watch the match live,
even little Aimee enjoyed it!
Her Dad got her all kitted out with her Armagh top.
Look at those eyes, she is hilarious!!

Gift card idea

Happy Monday!
I have another box card fun fold to share.
This one was my practise one so not perfect,
but with a bit of twiddling I got it back on form lol.

Very handy shape as it covers a card and a gift in one
if you pop some money or vouchers inside.
I used some retired paper for this one. I love the summery colours along with
the soft blue on the opposite side.
The stamp set is called Hope you Know.
I added some ribbon to make it easier to retrieve the
card from inside the box.

Hope you all have a lovely week.
