Let it S.N.O.W.

It's the second week of Sandie's LETTERS theme over at

This week I found some colourful letters leftover from a
paper pack so I hunted out the letters for snow.
I made a tag base using blue and lime green card.
Using embossing paste and a snowfall stencil from
Polkadoodles I covered the blue background in snow.
I then stamped the snowman from Spirited Snowmen (SU),
coloured him up with markers and cut him out.
He was stuck in place. I then inked round the edges of
my cut up SNOW letters and stuck them in place.
I stamped let it from Snowman Season stamp set in blue
and added the to my tag.
It was finished by shaping the top and added some
green ribbon.

Christmas Countdown

Today I am sharing the final part of this project and it's
a countdown calendar for December.

Again I used scraps from two different retired Christmas packs.
I only needed small pieces for each page.
The pages themselves were cut using balmy blue card
and I made a stand for it using real red card.
The numbers were cut using the same paper and backed onto
card so a lot of cutting lol.
Each page is decorated differently.
I have put them all together
to make it easier for you to see.

I decorated them with words, snowflakes and some stamped
snowmen.
When I had all the pages decorated and the stand made I used
my Cinch to bind them all together.
So it just sits displaying the days date until Christmas.

Here is a quick walk through of each page.

Let it snow!

So with our Christmas theme over at Stamping Sensations
I was inspired to keep it going!

I had this wooden blank lying about since last year and
thought it could do with a bit of pimping lol.
So I got out my Country Woods dsp pack and covered
the base, sanding off all the edges.
I die cut the large letters for my wording along with some
snowflakes which I layered up many times and added gems to.
Then came the stamping. I used two old stamp sets called
Snowman Season and Spirited Snowmen.
The snow people were stamped, coloured and cut
and stuck in place.

I was pretty pleased with myself lol.
I have another nice project to share using the Christmas
theme but will save that until next week.

We had a quick scoot down to Omeath today.
It started out very misty but eventually the sun shone through.
Beautiful breath of fresh air and the views were stunning!

Have a lovely weekend everyone.

Love never melts!

I have another card for our midway post over at
where the challenge is anything goes
with optional Christmas theme.

This challenge really spurred me on to get started on Christmas.

We do of course have lovely prizes so please come and join us!!

For my card I used some scraps for my background, ripping the edge of one.
I die cut a circle and stamped some snowflakes and blended the sky.
I added some torn papers for the snow and a chip board tree.
I then stamped the snow couple, coloured them up and cut them out.
The sentiment was stamped directly onto the card base.
I finished with a ribbon, die cut snowflake and some glitter
and gems.

I have a few other projects to go along with this card
which I will share next week.

Cute mini tags

It's the second week of my challenge theme
Christmas in July
over at TAG TUESDAY.

I have used these cute little tags from the same kit as last week
(Brenda Pinnick Christmas card kits)
and decorated them up.
The pink one has had a piece of torn paper added for snow.
The background has been stamped using a snowflake stamp
and the little snowperson has been stamped, coloured and cut
and set in place. I finished with a piece of twine and highlighted
the snowflakes with a white chalk pen.
The stamp set used is called Spirited Snowmen (SU).

The second tag has been decorated using
Dashing Deer stamp set, some faux stitching and finished
with some bakers twine.
All very quick and easy and I have a load more of these
mini tags which I intend to use up!!

I hope you get time to join us!

I have not been around much lately as we had a bit of a
drama in the family.
My daughter-in-law next door had her Mum arrive last
Sunday for a 3 week visit from Wales.
Unfortunately she took very ill the day after she arrived
and had to be rushed to hospital.
She ended up in ICU with sepsis and was very poorly indeed.
We had to step in and mind the kids as Rachel has no
other family over here so hence no crafty time.
Thankfully Rachel's Mum is out of the woods and will be
transferred from ICU to a ward for a few days, then hopefully back home.
Not much of a holiday for the poor woman and a very worrying
time for her family!!
Life has a way of surprising/shocking us all at some stage.
Take care out there.

Recycling at Tag Tuesday

Time for a new theme over at
and it has been chosen by the lovely Valerie-Jael and it's
RECYCLE!

So I had a few old boxes my daughter gave me when she was clearing out
and of course I take everything that's going.
Don't ask me why!!! But I loved the look of this box and thought
the card with the stars was perfect for recycling for my night sky.

I cut the size I needed and make it into a tag shape,
matting it onto a white card.
I stamped the snow couple from Spirited Snowmen,
coloured them with markers.
I added them to my tag using 3d foam then made a snowy
mound using some torn paper and frost white ink.
I flicked the whole tag with the same ink and
finished with the sentiment and ribbon.

I hope you get time to join in with us this month!

Colour challenge at Tag Tuesday

Michele has chosen our new theme this time at
and she wants us to use blue and orange!

I wasn't intending to do a Christmas tag but it just sort of happened 😂

I went with a pocket tag using my envelope punch board and
pacific blue card stock. Perfect for a gift voucher!

I embossed it with a snowflake embossing folder.
The little snow couple is from an old stamp set called
spirited snowmen.
I coloured them in orange and blue
and finished the tag with some orange and white spotty ribbon.

Christmas Snowman tag

Those little last minute presents definitely deserve a handmade tag too, don't they?
I only need a few more, though I think I said that last week lol.
This one is quick and easy, just what we need at this time of year!!

I stamped my snowman in the centre of a 2" wide piece of card.
I punch the top using my tag topper punch (love this punch!!)
I then stamped some snowflakes around the edges in Balmy Blue ink.
I coloured the snowman using blends and then finished the tag by
inking around the edges with more balmy blue and I coloured a piece of
pool party sparkle ribbon with the matching blender.
Added a merry Christmas sentiment.

Snow couple!

Happy Monday!

I think this might be my final Christmas card!!
I am so well organised this year, thanks to Stampin' Up!
This is the Christmas card design I will be sending out to my customers this year.
I created it by stamping the Snow couple, covering them in masking fluid
and then flicking some masking fluid over the sky area to create snow.
When that dried I brushed the sky area with water then washed over with some
navy ink, adding more water where needed.
I then removed the fluid, added the stars and inked round the edges.
The snow couple has been coloured with watercolour pencils and finished
with a bit of wink of stella for that much needed sparkle.
I then stamped the sentiment and mounted the whole piece onto my card.

Let it snow!

Not a great picture today. I found it very hard to stop the glare on the white card and glitter.
And my craft room is glittering in all sorts of places lol.

I had a bit of dsp left over from my tutorial yesterday and decided to use it for a card.
I have stamped and white embossed the 'let it' and
cut the SNOW using my alphabet dies.
These were then covered in glitter and the little snowman was added to the O.
