Sketch 14 - Butterfly thank you

My card today follows Sketch 14

from Kendra's card challenge 2.

This card has the exact same layout as sketch 14

only I have gone with different colours, papers

and ribbon.

I think this layout was my favourite.

I have used the butterfly bijou papers

along with brights dsp.

The card is daffodil delight and I used my

layering circles again.

The ribbon is mint macaron (retired)

and the butterfly has been die cut using

the brilliant Wings dies.

The sentiment is from Beauty of Friendship

stamp set and daffodil delight ink.

Sketch 12 - Birthday butterflies

This is sketch 11 from

Kendra's Card Challenge 2

This time I have gone with night of navy

and polished pink card to tie in with the

butterfly bijou papers.

I used a tiny little die that embosses a brick finish

from the Brilliant Wings dies on the pink card.

The two butterflies were also created

using the same die set.

I stamped a large Happy Birthday

from the Sweet Ice Cream stamp set

in night of navy ink.

So quick and easy!!

Sketch 10 - A Grand Kid

Happy Monday!

Today I am sharing card number 10 in

Kendra's card challenge.

For this one I have used

A Grand Kid stamp set.

The papers are the same as with all the other cards,

butterfly bijou and  have used the 2 1/4" and 2" circle punches

for the centre.

The background paper has been die cut with

the stitched whimsy dies, as well as the two

smaller squares.

The happy birthday sentiment has been stamped

in polished pink ink.

I am like sneezy McDuck today with hay fever!

The price of having this weather lol.

Sketch 9 - butterfly trio

Friday already!

The days are just flying in.

My card today is another one for Kendra's challenge.

This is sketch number 9.

I have gone all polished pink for this one

using the card and matching ink.

The background is the bijou papers

and a piece of polished pink card embossing using

bricks and mortar embossing folder.

I stamped the sentiment using A Grand Kid

stamp set and added some jewels.

The little butterflies were punched using the

butterfly duet punch.

Fluttering by to say Thank You

This is sketch 8 from Kendra's Challenge.

It was quick and simple to make.

The background is in daffodil delight card

which I embossed using the pinewood planks

embossing folder.

As I had more of the paper left I cut out some

more butterflies and added them so the wings would

sit up.

I finished it off with a stamped sentiment in daffodil delight ink 

and punched out using the everyday label punch.

The jewels are from the new in-colour pack.

so we are popping next door at 11 for coffee

in the garde.

Daisy Lane time to shine

 

Happy Monday!

Over the weekend I came across a challenge called

Kendra's Card Challenge.

Kendra gives you a pdf download showing 6" x 6" paper cuts and 15 sketches to use along with them. You only need 6 sheets of paper to make all 15 cards with the addition of card and embellishments.

It's such a great idea I had to give it a go.

This is the first card out of 15.

I have used Butterfly Bijou papers for my cuts.

This one has been tied in with Bermuda bay card and ink.

I cut an extra butterfly from the papers and then stamped some daisies from the Daisy Lane stamp set to embellish the other square. They were coloured in used Flirty Flamingo and Lovely Lipstick blends to tie it in with the pinks of the other square.

I stamped the sentiment in Bermuda Bay ink and finished with a crinkled seam binding bow.

Spanner Card Tutorial

I usually do a CAS card tutorial on a Friday

but I have had this card on my MUST TRY list

for nearly a year so had to give it a go.

It is called a Spanner Card,

seriously don't know why but there you go!

I have used the lovely Butterfly Bijou papers

along with Magenta Madness card and ink.

The butterflies are from the

Butterfly Brilliance bundle

which you are going to see a lot of for a while

as I absolutely love it.

The butterflies come in so many sizes,

the papers are gorgeous and can be cut with the dies,

and it will keep me busy with birthday ideas

for a good part of the year to come!
