Another folio idea

Happy Monday.
I had another play around with one sheet of
12" x 12" paper and came up with this folio.

It has pockets and a waterfall so
uses up the full sheet!

I decorated the front with one of my tags,
just cutting the top off to make it fit.
I stamped lots of little inspirational
sayings on the inside and used
a few more of my ATCs along with
a handmade notebook.

This is how I decorated the back.
The closure is ribbon with some
paper beads I made from the straps.

You can watch a quick walkthrough here.

You can follow a tutorial for it here.

Items used
contact USA alphabet stamps,
Alphabest, Love this Moment,
Rectangular postage stamp punch,
paper florist dies, springtime impressions
all retired SU products.

News flash!

This card was made for my MIL for one
of her Grandsons.
Again it is so hard to make a personal card
year after year.
This boy is in his 30's and no particular
interests that I haven't already covered.

So I just used  the following items
paper - Paper Pizazz
Stamps - Beyond Stamping #2 + #5
Alphabest, Family Party, Approaching Perfection (all SU)
Markers, pearlised enamel drops and circle dies.

What a gorgeous day we had here
but dare I say nearly too hot??
For me anyway lol.
Keep hydrated and here's to a peaceful

Faux postage stamps

With the little bit of leftovers I decided to make
some faux postage stamps to help
decorate my Traveller's Notebook.

Not much to work with but perfect sizes for
1 1/4" x 2" and  1" X 1".

I punched the large ones with an SU punch and the square
ones with a square die.
I set about stamping bits and pieces here and there
using stamps from Studiolight grunge and
some IndigoBlu and some SU.
I cut up any birds I could from the papers
and added them to the stamps.
I added some faux stitching around each one.
The rest of the leftovers were made into
two mini books, some punched candi dots
and very small butterflies.
That little pile on the right is what I have
left but I won't be binning them!

Another traveller's notebook

I had this pack of slightly used papers that
I won from Brenda many years ago
and always felt it was too nice to open.
I eventually did make a few cards and a
mini album but still had lots left so
decided to make a Traveller's Notebook.

This is the back view.
I did lots of sewing on this TNB and I
do like the effect as well as the
fact it makes it much sturdier.

This is a view of the spine.
I was going to use an elastic closure
but changed my mind and filled the
hole with a brad.

You can watch a quick video walkthrough here.

Items used
Papers - Anna Marie Designs
Stamps - Studiolight grunge collection,
Alphabest, Gorgeously Made (SU),
Sewing machine and inks.

Pretty Gift Box tutorial

I made this box recently for my Mother-in-law's birthday.
It was filled with her favourite chocolates.

I used mirri card for the bottom and papers from an old stack
from We R Memory keepers for the lid.
I had some nice blue ribbon which made a lovely big bow.
I cut out a die shape and stamped the sentiment and name
using Happy Birthday to You and Alphabest stamp sets (SU).
I cut some birds from the leftover papers to decorate.

As I haven't done a box tutorial for ages I decided
to give the old grey matter a shake and do one!

I did make it smaller than my first one but you can make this box
any size you want and the design will work.

For this one I used papers from Paper Discovery and some
co-ordinating card for the base from my stash.
It was decorated using punched flowers and leaves.
The sentiment was stamped using Itty Bitty Birthdays (SU)
and finished with some gems.

You can watch my tutorial here

Measurements needed to make this size

I used a Tattered Lace die for this shutter card.
The papers are from a Basic Grey set called Sultry.
Stamp sets used
Happy Birthday to You, Alphabest, Approaching Perfection
and Painted Seasons, all SU.
I added ribbons, brads, pearls and a leaf punch.
The flowers have been double stamped and cut and layered.

My happy place!

Our new challenge theme at
has been chosen by Valerie and she has gone with
NEW BEGINNINGS!

This year I have started doing some needle felting.
It is very addictive and so far I have made a little mouse
and a rabbit.
So I decided to needle felt a little heart for my tag
to represent my new beginnings in my crafty world!

I embossed the background with a heart folder
and punched with my tag punch.
I needle felted a heart in yellow
and then added my sentiments in yellow ink.
The tag was finished with some gold ribbon.
Stamp set used was Alphabest (SU).

We had a lot of snow today but thankfully some sleet afterwards
and it's disappeared again. Freezing cold though!
Be careful out there.

Double up!

Our new challenge over at
is anything goes with the option of hand coloured image.

We have some lovely prizes up for grabs
from Grafton crafts so be sure and join us!!

For my card I have used a PB stamp called Soft spoken.
I stamped the flower and coloured it up using markers in shades
of purple and green.
I stamped the sentiment in black from a stamp set called
Latte Love (SU).
I then used a stencil called Four Square (SU) and added
some colour around the area of the flower.
I matted it onto some purple card and finished it
off with a bakers twine bow.

I hope you get time to join us this month!

It's also time for a new challenge over at
and the theme this month is anything but square!

We have a lovely prize up for grabs so be sure and join us!

For my card I decided to make a circle easel card.
As it's my eldest son's birthday this month
I kept him in mind when making it.

I had treated myself to stamps, stencils and masks from
Sheena Douglas and for this card I used
Howling at the Moon.
I absolutely love these sets and know it will be well used.
I went with shades of green and blue and created
a scene inside the stencil using the matching stamps.
The circle dies are from a Tattered Lace set.
Other stamp set used are
Country Birdhouse, Artistically Inked and Alphabest (SU).

I hope you get time to join us this month.

Bear necessities!!

It's time for a new theme over at
and this time Sandie wants to see NUMBERS!

I was searching for a different stamp entirely when I came
across some of my old wooden stamps from
Forever Friends.
I have a handful of these which I kept for the
Grandkids when they spent the day here.

I made my tag base from a lilac card then added some scraps
from HOTP birthday pack along with a paper ribbon.
I stamped some numbers into each circle using
Alphabest and Make a Difference stamp sets (SU).
I coloured up the bear with my markers and cut him out.
I finished with  some ribbon and a sentiment and cut out
from the paper back.

Come and join us and use up some of your table scraps!!
