Stamping Sensations November Challenge

Our challenge over at
STAMPING SENSATIONS
is all about Traditional Christmas using the colours
red, green and gold - any or all!

I pulled out some old (painted seasons) and some new stamp sets to create this card.
It has bits of gold embossing. Each bauble was gold embossed then coloured and I also gold embossed the
edges of the sentiment.

Those little green thread bows where tricky to make but I like the effect.
I just wanted something subtle.
I had intended to stamp some little yellow stars/spots between the branches
but totally forgot. I will add at some stage before it gets posted out.

We are sponsored this month by

Chocolate Baroque

so be sure and get your stamped entries in for a chance to win.

I used gorgeous papers from Painted Seasons DSP
wrapped round a packet of Rolo and finished with some
beautiful gold thread, a flower cut out from the dsp and
the stamped sentiment from Best Decision Ever stamp set and Balmy Blue ink.

I've just finished designing and making my April treats
and they are lovely!!

Grace and wisdom!

I had another 80th birthday card request and
again I went with the painted seasons stamp set.
I hope you were lucky enough to pick this up during Sale-a-bration!
I used the painted seasons dsp along with the stamp set.
The flowers where stamped and cut out along with the leaves to add dimension.
The inner flowers were stamped and masked to add some leaves.
I really enjoy this type of stamping and find it very therapeutic!
I personalied it using the Make a difference stamp set and the sentiment
is from Strong & Beautiful stamp set.
with lemon lime twist and balmy blue ink pads.
The ribbons I used are lemon lime twist and grapefruit grove.

Celebrate - special birthday

I had a request for an 80th birthday card and this is what I made.
The gorgeous papers are still available free along with the free stamp set
but only until the 31st March!!

How I made this card.
1. I used an a5 size card for my base.
2. Cut dsp 5 6/8" x 8", ink round edges using blender pen in dark poppy parade.
Adhere to base card.
3. Using circle framelit dies cut one in poppy parade and one smaller in whisper white.
4. Cut a band measuring 5 6/8" x 3 6/8", mat with dsp 5 6/8" x 3 3/8"
Cut a piece of red card 3 5/8" x 2", round the top corners
Adhere  red card to back of band as above and stick to centre of your card base.
5.Cut large numbers for age (replace this with a sentiment/image if you don't have numbers)
in red fun foam and matching dsp, stick together to leave red shadow.
6. Stamp sentiment to bottom of whisper white circle in poppy parade.
7. Adhere the numbers in place above sentiment and add a stamped
HAPPY in poppy red, matted onto poppy red card.
8. Stamp 4 flowers in poppy red and 6 leaves in old olive and cut out.
9. Add flowers using dimensionals and stick leaves in place under flowers.
10. I added a name using  Make a difference stamp set.

Mother's Day card

I got a lovely new set of stamps and matching dsp FREE during Sale-A-Bration
with a £90 spend!
I was dying to have a play so I made a
Mother's Day card for my Mother-in-law.
The colours are so gorgeous and having matching inks keeps
the colour coordination so easy!!

How I made this card:
1. Cut piece of fresh fig card to fit your base card.
2. Mat with a piece of dsp.
3. Cut piece of fresh fig card to form a strip the length of your card by 2 3/4" wide.
Score every 1/4" to form a check embossed pattern.
4. Wrap piece of ribbon along card and secure at back with tape.
5. Cut a rectangle in whisper white. Stamp your sentiments in centre
using fresh fig ink.
6. Ink up your flower in grapefruit grove and using a dauber add
some fresh fig to the centre of flower and stamp.
Randomly stamp the flowers in opposite corners using this technique.
7. Create a mask on copy paper and use to add leaves in lemon lime twist.
8. Stamp 2 flowers and 4 leaves onto whisper white and cut out.
9. Using dimensionals add your flowers to both corners and glue
the leaves under the flowers.
10. Finish with a matching bow.
