Ornate style for Mother's Day

Working on my CAS cards

I followed a colour challenge over at

CAS Colours & Sketches

The stamp set is called Ornate Style

and I just used part of the stamp.

I have coloured the flowers using the ink pads

and my wink of stella brush.

I used Melon Mambo card and ink,

bumblebee ink and old olive ink.

The lightly pink flowers are just a

watered down Melon Mambo.

The sentiment is from Strong & Beautiful,

stamped in melon mambo ink.

Very easy and very enjoyable to colour in,

thought I think I do a better job with my blends 😂

Good Morning Magnolia Book of Snacks

My tutorial today shows how I made these little book type gifts

which hold two packs of Snack biscuits,

another favourite with my Mother-in-law.

Measurements needed to follow along

Score Ornate Layer Die - 2 3/8" on both sides to form book.

Inside card - 3 1/4" x 4 1/2"

score - 5/8" on all sides

Whisper White card for front - 2" x 3 2/8"

Ribbon - two pieces at 8"

Fun Fold Friday - Double Dutch Fold

My Fun fold Friday card is a

Double Dutch Fold

Not a new fold by any means but a new fold for me!

I made mine to fit a 5" x 7" envelope

as it's for a special lady's birthday.

I will add a sentiment to the inside soon.

Faux torn edge effect card

Happy Monday!

This card was made during one of my VIP video tips tutorials.

I am making a few cards to send to my family

in England just to let them know I am thinking of them.

I used a torn paper effect, masking out the top and bottom of my card.

The stamp set is the lovely Ornate Style one

which fit across the card perfectly for me.

The sentiment is from the Lovely You stamp set

and perfect for sending a card across the water.

Ornate Style Blooms

It's the first Sunday in May

For my card I have used Bloom 15.

I cut out the large gold frame then added the flower image

onto some whisper white card.

It has been coloured using watercolour pencils and blends.

I finished with a sentiment and some gems.
