Needle felted figure with box

Happy Monday!
I'm sharing a needle felted lookalike figure and box
I made for my son Milo's 40th last year.
I did do a video of the box but stupidly didn't have
my sound turned on lol but the measurements
are all there and you can watch what I did
if you need a bigger box.

This one is about 7" tall, 5" wide and 3" deep.
I added an acetate window so you could
see the figure inside.

Not a bad likeness for a beginner!

He has a right wee tan on him lol.
This was the only skin colour I had enough of.
This is what he wears while working and he uses
his phone and laptop to do car mapping etc.
I even added his business logo to his jumper
and knit him a beanie which he always wears.

You can watch the video if you need a big box here

More Q-Con stuff

Showing one of my needle felting designs
that went to Q-Con last week.
Couldn't not have a rainbow monster!!

They were all boxed in acetate boxes with a little
monster poem.

I also made a bunch of these keyrings with a
needle felted flower or star.

There's a monster in the house!

I made a few little needle felt monsters
for my daughter's table at Q-Con in two weeks.
They were really fun to make though
I think the one in pink needs to see the dentist lol.
I used felting wool from World of Wool
and Amazon.

Welcome to my newest follower SUSAN.
Thanks so much for taking time to follow

Bear necessities!

Meet my latest needle felted bear.
Haven't got a name for him yet so shout
if you have one 😁

He is only about 3 1/2" sitting tall and didn't take very long
to make but he really was a sort of beginners
approach to making a bear lol.
My next one will hopefully have moving
arms and legs.
I did knit him a nice little striped jumper
to keep him cosy till the summer arrives!

You can watch a quick 360 view of him here

Wool is from the World of Wool.
Wool for jumper is from local shop.

Easter Bunny

Meet Mr Easter Bunny,
my latest needle felt project.

I knit him a little jumper, hat and satchel
to carry some smaller eggs in!

The small eggs are different pastel colours.

And of course he had to had a nice big tail!

A real labour of love but I took my time so I wouldn't
blind myself in the process lol.

You can watch a quick video of him here

And this is my three Easter makes together

Easter chick

I snuck some time to do a needle felted chick.
I didn't have any yellow so went with white and added
some orange for her beak and feet.
The headband is a little bit of gingham ribbon.

You can see her here in this quick video

Budding designer!

I had two of my Grandsons to mind after school a few days last week
and Tom (9) is a very creative boy for sure.
I gave them a large box of pens/markers/pencils which
had accumulated in my craft room over the years.
They were challenged to sort out which ones had dried up,
and there were a lot lol.
So they liked the markers that much I gave them some
paper and they got to sketching.
Tom came up with this sketch so I decided to needle felt
it up for him and he was super happy lol.
'You are amazing' were his exact words!!
I'll take that any day as it's very hard to amaze
the younger generation these days lol.

So hopefully we have a budding designer in our midst!!

Have a great weekend everyone.

Little Baker!

I have another little needle felted mouse to share today.
This one has been made for my daughter-in-law
who loves to bake.

I gave her a little red jumper, a spotted apron and
of course, a chef's hat!
The little utensils have been die cut using an old
Stampin' Up! set.

The apron has been attached using some ribbon.
She even got little red shoes with pompoms on.

And of course, all good bakers need somewhere to
sell their wares so I made her a little house
with a shelf and even needle felted some cookies!
It was great fun to make.

Here's a quick video showing her off.

Ballerina in a box!

Today's needle felted project is a little Ballerina Box.
All little ballerina's need a place to relax and unwind, don't they lol??
I decorated the front using some old papers from my stash
which were ballerina themed. I added the letter A as this will be for
my Granddaughter Aimee in a few years time lol.

And here she is. I haven't named her yet but
I will keep her safe until my Granddaughter is old enough to have her.
Needle felted toys are really not toys but more keepsakes.

As you can see I made a little mattress from pink felt
and sewed a little gingham pillow with added stuffing
to keep her comfortable.

But as it is winter I thought she needed a little blanket too
to keep her warm so I crocheted up one in colourful wool.

I had the tin in my stash for a long time and she just fitted it perfectly.
It has been decorated up using some very old papers from my stash
and I stamped a little sentiment on the inside using a stamp
from a set called Part of my Story (SU).

Gaelic Mouse!

My needle felted creation today is for my
Grandson Tom for his birthday.
He loves his football and Gaelic and plays for our local
team called Éire óg.
So Tom the mouse was born.

He is going to be 10 years old this April so
I had to add the age to his jumper.
And of course, he needed a football to hold.

And as these are not really toys I made him a little
keep sake box to store him in.

Have a lovely weekend!

Mr Fox!

Happy Valentine's Day
to you all.
It should be a day when you love yourself too.
So be kind to yourself today and have a little treat!!

I got some lovely wool in my last parcel from
World of Wool and I also got a surprize package in there
and it had the most gorgeous mottled purples so
I had to make myself a little heart keyring!
I used a heart cookie cutter to get a nice clean shape
and it is nice and thick but so soft too.

Meet Mr Fox!
This is my third needlefelt project
and this one was born in my head lol.

I felted him up a jacket which was not easy 😂
Things always look easy inside my head!!

I also gave him a cosy waistcoat and of course
some glasses.
This hobby is very rewarding and definitely
a lot of fun!

Meet Patch!

This is my second needle felting project.
No kit this time, just playing around to see what
would happen lol.
This boy has been named Patch by one of my followers
daughters on Facebook, so Patch it is.
He started out a different colour entirely but I ran
out of the colour before I could finish lol
so had to cover him again in the brown wool.

To help disguise his patchy skin I knit him
a little jumper and felted a heart on the front.
The eyes are a bit scary but with practise I
hope to improve!!

Henry the mouse!

Meet Henry the mouse!
This is my very first needle felted piece.
I hadn't a clue what I was doing and got many bloody
fingers from stabbing myself lol,
but I absolutely became addicted right away.

I made a little box to keep him in with an acetate window
and printed his name using my label maker.

Hopefully I will get to make another one soon!
