Spring Flowers!

I have been missing in action for what seems like ages
but I have been sick as a parrot.
First I got a V & D virus.
That floored me for a couple of days.
Then I got a head cold immediately after
and it has since become a sinus infection.
I am worn out completely.
Finally got an antibiotic yesterday
and don't start me on the hurdles
I had to jump to get speaking to
a doctor. Seriously!!
But hopefully I will be on the mend
by Monday and play a bit of catch up.

It's time for my midway post for our
Spring Flowers/anything goes at

For my tag I  punched out a plain piece of card
with my Best Trio Punch (SU) and rounded
the bottom corners too.
I then inked the background in blue ink.
Next I used an old SU stencil to add some
 crystal paste to two corners.
I then stamped the other two corners using
a stamp set from Visible Image called
Grunge Tones in yellow.
I stamped, coloured and die cut the flowers
and teapot using a set called Country Flowers (SU).
Before sticking in place I stamped the small
flowers in black.
I finished with a ribbon.

For my ATC I used two stamp sets called
Timeless Tulips and Fable Friends.

I created the background by mixing inks
from IndigoBlu and Distress inks.
I brushed some gold ink around the edges
and then stamped, coloured and cut the tulips
using markers.
I stuck them in place then splattered some
white ink over the top.
I stamped and cut the sentiment
and placed over the flowers.

Shutter birthday card

It's coming up to my one and only Aunt's
birthday and I always like to make her
a shaped card, so this is what I did.

I used a die from Tattered Lace for the shutter card.
Papers and card from my stash, probably SU.
I stamped the flowers using a set called
Country Flowers (SU), coloured with markers.
I die cut some butterflies and lacy borders
and punched some flowers and leaves for
decoration.

and coloured them with my markers.
I matted him onto some green card and added him to the card.

for August is anything goes option summer in the garden.

We have some prizes up for grabs too!!

and a fun fold on the inside which joins the front to the back.
I also used a couple of other stamp sets from SU called
Sweet ice-cream, Approaching Perfection and Country Flowers.

The inside is where the fun fold happens.
It has a pocket at either side for either a tag, cash

Say it with flowers!

It was my turn to pick the theme this time over at
TAG TUESDAY
and I have gone with flowers!

I used a stamp and die set called Country Flowers from SU.
I stamped the background with one of the smaller stamps
and added a band of pink to ground my design.
The teapot is being used to water the plants 😁
I mounted it onto pink card and finished with some matching ribbon.

Colourful tag!

It's the second week of  Valerie's theme COLOURS

For my tag today I pulled out a stencil from Polka Doodles
and blended my colours for the striped background.
I added a piece of scrap paper leftover from one of my albums
to put along the bottom then stamped, coloured and die cut

My Mother-in-law sadly does need an operation but she doesn't want
it and they don't want to give it to her because of her age and health.
So they sent her home with antibiotics and painkillers.
We are just hoping the inflammation reduces
and she gets some time without too much pain.

June Mood Board

It's time for our June challenge over at
and we have another mood board to inspire you.
My card was inspired by the black, silver and pink colours
along with the flowers.

We do of course have a great prize up for grabs so be
sure and join us!

For my card I decided to make a striped background using
1/2" strips of black and white paper.
The flowers have been stamped, stencilled and cut.
I then added a sentiment and some silver thread along with
enamel dots in red and silver.

I even followed the stripes onto the inside with some
stamped and coloured flower corners and a sentiment.

I hope you get time to come and play along.

Sympathy card....again!

No video today but I do have another card for my
Sympathy/Thinking of you box.

This time I used two layers of vellum, one plain, one embossed.
The background has been masked to allow me to make
some pink stripes.

I used country Flowers set again and coloured them up using my blends.
I finished off with lots of pearls.

The inside got treated the same way only I used the dies
to add flowers and leaves which were coloured using my blends.

Country Flowers sympathy card

Happy Monday!
I made another card using my mini cards and yes,
another sympathy card.
I decided to fill the box with sympathy/thinking of you cards
as I am donating them to the carers who drop in to my
Mother-in-law's.

I used Country Flowers bundle along with some papers from the
Country Woods pack.
As I have a full pack of 12" x 12" vellum I am trying to use it
in most of my makes at the minute.
It embosses beautifully too!

I used my rectangle dies and layered up the rectangles,
twisting for a bit of interest.
The flowers were stamped and lots of green and vellum leaves
were layered underneath them.
A bit of ribbon, pearls and a sentiment finished off the front.

So I followed it through inside!

My poor hubby had been out to a golf competition on Saturday
and got hit just above his ankle with a golf ball flying at full speed!
How he drove himself home I do not know.
He is struggling to put his weight on it and it is badly swollen.
But he is a man and refuses to see a doctor nor take a pain killer!
Seriously!! Give me patience!!
