Lazy summer days

It's time for my midway post for
where the theme is summertime/anything goes.
Just be sure and stamp somewhere!!

We have two amazing prizes up for grabs
so be sure and join us!!!

For my card I used a sunshine stencil from
Crafts Direct2U using wild honey distress inks.
I added some of my text washi tape to the bottom
then ran the whole lot through my sewing machine.
I stamped the boy using an old Whiff of Joy set
called fun in the sun. He was coloured up with
markers.
I stamped some birds from a set called
Mountain Air (SU).
I punched a circle to fit into my sun stencilling
and added the sentiment and same colour
and 3d'd in place.

Camellia Cluster

I had a card to make for my sister-in-law
and decided to play with some of my
neglected Lisa Horton sets.
This one is called Camellia Cluster
and it's a stencil and die set.

I used paper from my stash for the background.
I layered up some gold vellum onto a mat,
added some matching brads to the corners.
I then stencilled and die cut the flowers
using distress oxides.
Before placing on the card I wrapped some
of my gold mesh then added the
celebrate word from an old SU die.
I stamped the happy birthday using
Itty Bitty Birthdays (SU) and then
added her name using Contact USA alphabet
stamps. The card was finished with a die cut bow
and some little gems.
I followed a sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday.

Another scorcher today!!
If it was about 21 degrees I might be ok
but 27 is just too much for me.
For those that enjoy it have fun lol.

Favourite colours

This sunshine is lovely but boy I am struggling
to get anything done in my craft room
or housework with this over bearing heat.

Anyway I'm sharing another tag and ATC
I made earlier for our
favourite colour/anything goes theme over at
challenge.

Last time I went with pink but
another favourite is this lovely teal colour.
I matched it up with some gold this time.

I colour blended the background using oxide inks
called peacock feathers and frayed burlap
then spritzed with water.
I then used embossing paste and stencil (SU)
to added some texture.
Next I added some gold braiding
around the middle and some text
washi tape along the bottom.
I then stamped the teddy bear using a stamp
set from CreateKrafts called Beary Special.
He was coloured up with markers
and layered onto some punched circles of card.
I stamped the sentiment using a set
from Love to Craft called Let's celebrate.
The tag shape was made using a punch from SU
and I finished it off with some matching
braid and ribbons.

For my ATC I used the same stamp set as above.
For the atc base I coloured up my background
using frayed burlap oxide ink.
I then stencilled (AALL&Create) over the top using
peacock feathers and then added some embossing
paste using a stencil (Amazon), for some texture.
I stamped the bear twice and added them
to look like one is balancing on the other.
They were coloured with markers.
I finished with the sentiment from the
same set.

this little girl. Perfect for a 2 year old
and her hair was the exact colour I needed!

I needed a few gift boxes for August birthdays
so I dug out my envelope punch board

They are a right good size and I made them
to suit the chocolate I had bought for
the cat box.

The card I used is just from my stash
so probably We R Memory Keepers??

Using up some scraps!

I took a tear at my scrap box which was
looking way to full!!

The scraps were not overly big but some
were big enough to create a few
no glue paperclip book/page markers.

They slide perfectly onto a page.

These are the scraps I used.
You can make them any width you want but
you need at least 5 1/2" long.

You can watch a quick tutorial here

Items used:
Scraps from my box
Paperclips, stamps (SU)
Embellishments I had previously made.

Summer time vibes

Our July challenge over at
has started and we have a
summer/anything goes theme.

As always we have a lovely prize on offer
so I hope you get time to play along
with us.

For my card I went with a sea theme.
I layered onto a blue card base with some
yellow card.
I then stamped the stripes using a
stamp set called Little Elephant using
an ombre ink pad from Let's Colour.
I ripped the edges of my card
and stamped a sentiment in the corner
using a stamp set called Circle Sayings.
I added some white netting around
the centre then stuck to my yellow
base card.
Next I used the Circle Sayings stamp set
to create my circle, coloured it up with
markers and punched a circle in blue
and yellow to layered it up.
I finished with some yellow gems.

Favourite colours

It's time for our July challenge over at
Brenda has given us the theme of
favourite colours or you can work with
anything goes.

I usually love to work with pink and black
so that's what I went with today.
For the background I started with some distress oxide
in pink then I stencilled over that using
Simon Hurley Stella Paste in black.
That stuff is lethal and so runny!
The stencil is an old one from SU.
I then stamped the flowers on
white card in pink ink then cut them
out. The stamp set is called
Flourishing Phrases (SU).
I coloured the inner flower in black
then added to the card chopping off the access.
I finished with some pearlised enamel dots in white
and I outlined the flowers in black
to make them pop more.
The sticker sentiments were added
along with some pink and black ribbon.

As I was already in a mess I used the same
products for my ATC.
I used the pink oxide for the background,
stamped some text using Gorgeous Made stamp set (SU)
then stencilled with the stella paste here and there.
I stamped another flower using
Flourishing Phrases and finished as above.
I added some white pearlised enamel dots
and finished with a sticker sentiment
and edged it all in black.
