Enjoy life birthday card

I had a card request for a birthday card for a Priest.
I struggle with these as you automatically lean towards a religious card
but they would probably love to receive a 'birthday card'.
So this is what I made.

How I made this card
1. Using an a5 card as your base cut tranquil tide 5 6/8" x 8"
Add a piece of dsp 5 5/8" x 7 7/8"
2. Mark 2" at either side, top and bottom, and add tear and tape.
Stick ribbon across both these sections.
3. Using circle dies, cut largest in tranquil tide, next size down
in whisper white and 2 sizes more down in whisper white.
4. On second largest stamp design using soft suede,
working round the circle till you are happy.
5. On smallest circle stamp your quote using grapefruit grove
and stamp two small butterflies in soft suede.
6. Adhere largest circle in place, using dimensionals add
next circle and finally the smallest.
Finish with a small knot of ribbon as above.
7. Cut two rectangles in tranquil tide. Type up your sentiment
and name using hex code for tranquil tide and make sure they measure no more
than 6cm x 1 cm. Print and cut out using the smaller rectangle die.
Layer these together and adhere to your card, top and bottom.
8. Stamp out 4 small butterflies, punch and colour using
grapefruit grove and tranquil tide markers.
Stick in place using wet glue and add bodies and antenna.

Mint Macaron Daisy

I made this card to match one of the candle boxes from my Thursday tutorial.
I love this sentiment, perfect for those sad occasions we all have to deal
with at some time or another.

I have used:
Daisy Punch
Daisy Delight stamp set
Mint Macaron card
Natures Poem DSP
Natures Twine in Mint Macaron
Gold Faceted Gems
Soft Suede Ink Pad
Layering circle framelits dies

To make the card I cut the card to size, adding some lines on my scoring board
to give some texture. I layered up with the dsp, punching the bottom
to create tales.
I made the daisy by stamping out twice and punching and layering both together
and finishing with a gold gem. I cut the leaves from scraps of the dsp.
I stamped my sentiment using Flourishing Phrases 2 stamp set
in mint macaron ink.
The circles were layered and the card was finished with a bow
in the twine.

Wishing you a day...

I'm starting my week off with this lovely little card that would suit any
happy occasion - birthday, wedding, special day etc.
I love this colour combination and I love the Nature's Poem dsp.

The stamp set I used today is called
and I have used the sentiment stamp along with the flowers
all of which were stamped using rich razzleberry ink.
The card is also rich razzleberry and works perfectly
with the dsp.
I using the circle framelits for the layers
and stamped the flowers a few times so I could add dimension.

Quick and easy gift box

I received a cute little soap bar from Lush for my birthday
but was very disappointed in the way it was presented and I know these products
are not cheap so why not give them in nicer packaging!
So anyway, I decided to package my own.
I definitely will buy some Lush products for presents throughout the year
so I will now have cute little boxes to pop them in.

I have made a tutorial which you can watch on YouTube

I have used lovely fresh fig card stock
teamed up with the gorgeous dsp from Nature's Poem
(available in the buy 3 get 1 free selection)
The stamp set is Labels to Love, stamped in Highland Heather ink
and punched using the everyday label punch.
I have finished them off with some Share what you love pearls
and some linen thread tied in a double bow.
I recommend wet glue and dimensionals for this project.

The measurements you will need for this size of box are:

Card stock - 5" x 7"
Score 5" side - 1", 4"
Score 7" side - 1", 3", 4", 6"

Dsp -  2" x 6 1/2" for belly wrap
