Double angled pillar card!

I was inspired to make this card when I saw a lovely card my crafty friend
Carol made recently. Carol had followed a tutorial from Iced Images
for a right angled pillar card.
So I went to check it out and as I watched the tutorial this designed
popped into my head so I went about making a double angled
pillar card.
The first one I made is a 2" x 2" panel but I thought it stuck out too much
so I went back to the drawing board and came up with this one.

See how my pillar is half the depth of the previous one?
It also still folds flat even with the two angles
and fits into a 6" envelope.

I have a tutorial you can watch to make this particular one
with the double angles and smaller pillar

Measurements needed to make one

and an added daisy from my daisy punch.

Best moments!

Our new challenge theme over at
has been chosen by Valerie and she wants us
to use spots and/or stripes.

I found some scraps which worked perfectly.
They have been layered up then I added the die cut
butterflies. The sentiment was stamped onto white card,
punched out and layered onto black card.
I finished with some cord.
Quick and easy theme this fortnight for sure
so I hope you get time to have a play.

Put a bow on it!

It's the second week of Michele's
buttons and/or bows challenge over at

My button phobia would not let me use buttons
so I have gone with a bow again.

I have used a lovely stamp I received in a challenge win at Allsorts called
Bird Collage from AALL & Create.
I inked up my base using various inks then sprayed
a little water in the centre and mopped up.
I then stamped the greenery around the edges
using a stamp from Daisy Lane (SU) in evening evergreen.
I then stamped the main image using versafine.
The sentiment was added from the Daisy Lane set
and I added two sequins (close as I can get to buttons lol).
I backed it all onto matching card and finished
with a large bow.

Fun fold Birthday card

Front

Back

I have 5 fun fold cards to make for a customer, this is the second one.
So I thought I would have a go at a block card.
This is my first one and it physically hurt my brain to work out the measurements
for the size of card I needed lol. But once I got my head around it
I really enjoyed decorating it up.

The front is covered in daisies using Daisy Lane stamp set and punch.
The leaves are die cut from the Forever Flourishing Dies and coloured with ink.
I have added some card candi to the centres.
The papers are from a freebie during Sale-a-bration set last year.
Inside I have cut some butterflies using Brilliant Wings dies.
The little ladybirds are from Nitwits.

anything goes stamping (option add some diecuts)
Just remember to STAMP, STAMP, STAMP!

The papers are a retired Stampin' Up! set, card is rich razzleberry and
I have used Forever Fern stamps and Forever Flourishing dies
in Rich Razzleberry and Evening Evergreen colours.

I have come up with this little box.
Simple enough and easily adjusted to fit whatever size you might need.

You can watch my video here.

The ink is grapefruit grove from a retired in colour a few years ago.

So my hand is much better but still have to put splint on
for a few hours a day.
I have been enjoying walking around golf course
as hubby plays his golf.
It is so beautiful out there and it's a nice change from the back garden.
Mother nature has worked her magic right on my doorstep.

Daisy Lane and sketch 1

Happy Monday!
What a busy weekend that was.
My son moved mostly into his house on Saturday,
Poor husband and other son were exhausted doing the
heavy lifting.
On Sunday it was same son's birthday
so back up to see him again.
He is only 2 minutes drive from us now lol.
But so great to see them settling in!

So today I have started
Just pop over here for the free pdf download
of the cutting templates and sketches
and a great video from Kendra explaining everything!

For my cuts this time round I have used the
Ice Cream Corner dsp.

The first card sketch was lovely and simple
and worked beautifully with my Daisy Punches.
I used the sentiment from the Daisy Lane set
and the ink colour is terracotta tile.

You can see my video here.

Double Post Today!

It's time for a new challenge at
and it's my turn to choose the theme.
If you haven't guessed from my tag it's
FRUIT and/or VEG!

I had this stamp I earned during Sale-a-bration
that had yet to be inked so my theme was born!

I used Berry Delight papers for the background.
The berries have been stamped in real red and granny apple green ink,
cut out and layered together in the basket I made from some food packaging!
I added a sentiment and a little bow from bakers twine.
I combined two bakers twine colours for the top.
Hope you can join us!!

My second project today is for the mid way inspiration for
where the theme is beautiful blooms.
There is a great prize up for grabs, sponsored by
This months lucky winner will be able to choose an A4 stamp sheet or stamps to the same value from our lovely sponsor Chocolate Baroque who have two live shows on The Craft Store (Hochanda) on Friday 7th May at 9am and 1pm. Lesley will be showcasing different stamps in each show.

For my card I have gone with
I stamped six small daisies and two large,
which I then layered up and finished with a gold gem.
The leaves have been stamped in soft succulent ink
using the Forever Fern stamp set and die cut with matching dies.
I used Basic Border dies to cut away the card front
and replaced it with some polished pink card
which I embossed on my score board.
The sentiment was stamped in polished pink and punched out
I added some gold trim from the Simply Elegant pack.

I would like to enter this card into
or pink with anything 😁

Daisy Lane time to shine

Happy Monday!

Over the weekend I came across a challenge called

Kendra's Card Challenge.

Kendra gives you a pdf download showing 6" x 6" paper cuts and 15 sketches to use along with them. You only need 6 sheets of paper to make all 15 cards with the addition of card and embellishments.

It's such a great idea I had to give it a go.

This is the first card out of 15.

I have used Butterfly Bijou papers for my cuts.

This one has been tied in with Bermuda bay card and ink.

I cut an extra butterfly from the papers and then stamped some daisies from the Daisy Lane stamp set to embellish the other square. They were coloured in used Flirty Flamingo and Lovely Lipstick blends to tie it in with the pinks of the other square.

I stamped the sentiment in Bermuda Bay ink and finished with a crinkled seam binding bow.

If you would like to join in Kendra's challenge, here is the link to get all the information.

Birthday book card

I thought I would share one of the
commissions I made last week.

This one is a book shape with lots of layers.
The die is a tattered lace one and
I used my lovely new paper blooms papers to decorate
along with a few stamp sets:
The main colour used was Rococo Rose
in the ink and ribbon.

Forever Fern Sympathy card

I have a few commissioned Sympathy cards to make
and this is one of them.

I used a bundle called
Forever Fern
which is super gorgeous to work with.
I just love how each stamped image looks like it has been hand
drawn and coloured.
I embossed the background of this one using the Bricks & Mortar
embossing folder.
The centres consist of layered ovals.
Then I just stamped and die cut loads of leaves and buds,
arranged to the side of the ovals and finished with a
stamped and punched daisy.
I used deeper autumnal colours to suit the time of year.
The inside was stamped to follow through from the front.
