News flash!

This card was made for my MIL for one
of her Grandsons.
Again it is so hard to make a personal card
year after year.
This boy is in his 30's and no particular
interests that I haven't already covered.

So I just used  the following items
paper - Paper Pizazz
Stamps - Beyond Stamping #2 + #5
Alphabest, Family Party, Approaching Perfection (all SU)
Markers, pearlised enamel drops and circle dies.

Gift set

I'm sharing a card and gift box I made
for my son Deaglan's birthday this April.

The gift box is the same as the one I made for
St. Patrick's Day (HERE) and the card is a Teepee one.
Tutorial can be found here.

Dec does triathlons so I covered each side
with swimming, running and cycling.
The papers are from SU along with the stamp set
which is called Do the Impossible.
I also used Circle Sayings and Family Party stamp sets.

Hole in one!

I had a male birthday card to make for a man who loves golf.
I pulled out some left over paper from a set called Country Club (SU)
and I also had a large embossing folder that had the same pattern
so did a piece of white in that. It is from CraftWell.

I layered up all my papers on green card then I cut
a circle of designer paper from the same pack.
This time it was a black and white scene image which
I coloured up with my markers.

I then stamped the golfer from the Club House bundle (SU),
coloured him up and die cut him.
The sentiment is from the same set and the SON came from
a stamp set called Family Party (SU).
I finished off the card by die cutting some tiny golf balls
and adding them to the corners.

Diamond Easel Fold

I had a card to make for my Mother-in-law's birthday
this week and as one of her presents is a fox ornament for the garden,
I thought I would tie the card in with it.

I always like to make a special shaped card for her so
went with the diamond fold easel card.
I did make her one of these before for Christmas so hope
she doesn't remember 😍
The papers are plaid tidings, sadly retired along with a
stamp set from Sale-a-bration.
The fox has been coloured using my water colour pencils
and blender pen.

Had a day off yesterday as my IBS raised it's ugly head.
Still struggling with that sicky feeling but hopefully it will
clear away today!
Enjoy your day and thanks for stopping by.

Our weekend celebrations went well.

Sunday was very wet so umbrellas up to get us

in and out of the chapel and our Grandson

just loved the acoustics and let everyone know he was there 😂

So we have our son's 40th this week and my

daughter's birthday next week.

I am totally exhausted and ready to run away from home lol.

Birthday Cogs!

Happy Monday!

My card today was made for my
Mother-in-law's Grandson.
He is an engineer with Triumph motorbikes
and loves his fancy cars so I thought
this would suit him.

I have used the garage gear dies to
create all the cogs in silver, black and mango melody card.
The background papers are retired.
I also used the little brick die from the
Brilliant Wings dies to make a brick stencil
to add some brick to the papers.
The sentiments are stamped in memento
stamp sets.

Life without golf birthday card

Happy Monday!

I'm starting the week with one of my commissioned cards.
This one had to have a golf theme.
I used a retired stamp set and papers
for this one.
I made the golf course using inks and
stamps from Nature's Beauty.
The quote was generated on my computer
and the Son was stamped using

Well our snow on Saturday lasted
a couple of hours then we had rain
and high winds which lasted all day
Sunday too!
Dull weekend for sure and if I don't get out today
I will cause havoc in this household lol.

Numbers at Tag Tuesday

The theme over at
has been chosen by me and I want to see you use
NUMBERS
on your tags!

For this one I just went mad with my numbers!
The donkey was stamped first.
Don't ask me why I went with a donkey 😂
I just fell in love with the stamp.

This stamp set is super cute and is one of the stamp sets
that you can earn during SALE-A-Bration next week!
I have coloured him with blends.
I then stamped the large numbers from Family Party
 at the bottom
and over-stamped in different colours to highlight.
The white area was then stamped with small numbers
and I highlighted them in the matching colours using blends.
I stamped the Happy New Year from Itty Bitty Christmas
and finished it all by blending with bumblebee ink
and adding a stapled ribbon.

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas
and are all safe and well!!
We are supposed to be on a full lock down,
with only essential shops open
but while out walking the amount of cars in the
shopping centre car parks was scary to say the least!!
When will they ever learn!

Funfold Friday - Tent Fold Easel

My fun fold  VIP Video today is called a
Tent Fold Easel Card.
I made these for our kids for the New Year.
The shape is really fun and folds flat if posted.

I had seen loads of these designs on Pinterest etc
and decided to have a go.
The only thing I didn't like was the fact that it really
didn't hold together perfectly at the base.

So I came up with a matching corner that can be slid
off to fold flat and slipped on easily to hold together.
I actually like the added effect it gives.

I used papers from the in-colour selection called
and the stamps were from Family Party,

Lockdown was lifted this morning so we dashed out
for some last minute items.
Thankfully the two shops we were in were
not too bad at all and people seemed quite happy.
I had such a bad sleep last night, ended up with about 4 hours,
that I feel I am in zombie land today!
It will be a long day!
Take care out there.

Fun fold Friday

My tutorial today is yet another first for me.
I have been cardmaking  for about  27 years now
but my cards were always commissions so I rarely
got time to actually play about with different folds and techniques.

This one is called a
Free Standing Pop Up Card!

There is room on the back for a nice verse.

And it folds flat for posting!!
(Without the peg of course lol)

This is really quick and easy and can be adapted to any size you want.

I made a birthday version on my first go but totally
forgot to keep the decoration flat...doh!
It obviously needs to be flat so it can slide to flat position.

But I will be handing this over rather than posting so
I won't tell anyone if you won't!!😂

Bit of a crooked angle lol but the weather is shocking
this weekend and indoor photos are not my forte!

Measurements I used to make these cards
Card - 4 1/4" x 11"
Score - 1", 2 3/4", 3 3/4", 5 1/2", 7 1/4", 8 1/4", 10"

White card for decorating - 2 1/2" x 5 1/4"
