Recycling fun!

My hubby had received two cards on
Father's Day that came in these
pretty envelopes. The outside is
a lovely shade of blue and the inside
is spotty!
So I held on to them, as you do, and
spent ages trying to work out how to
use them to make a folio.
I finally did lol!
So I used two envelopes and one
sheet of 12" x 12" paper.
To decorate I used a couple of
6" x 6" papers.
Inside I had added notebook, journal card,
sketch book, mini envelopes, word tags,
bookmarker and tags.

You can watch a quick tutorial here

or a quick walkthrough of finished folio here

Items used
2 rescued envelopes
1 sheet of paper from my stash
Few sheets of 6" x 6" (SU).
Large letter dies (SU)
Pre made embellishments from my stash.
Pompon strip.
Stamps from CreateKrafts
and Contact USA.
Markers

Sunshine blooms

I'm sharing my midway post for
where the theme is summer blooms.

We have two lovely prizes up for grabs
so come and join us!!
Just remember to stamp!

For my card I went with yellow colours.
I stencilled the sunshine behind
using a stencil from Crafts Direct 2U
using Lemon Lolly ink.
I then cut two circles, one in yellow
and the other in white for my flower.
The flower stamp is from CreateKrafts
and has been coloured with markers.
When all put together I stamped
the sentiment directly on to the front
using the same stamp set
Hugs & Blooms - CreateKrafts.
I added a tiny bow using matching ribbon.

Fashion!

I'm here to share my mid month tag and ATC for our
fashion theme over at

This time I used a gorgeous oval tag from
Tonic Studios which has embossing
around the top.
I stamped my image using
Uptown Girl Polly loves perfume
and coloured it up with markers.
I ink blended in yellow and pink
distress oxides around my image.
I highlighted the embossing with
black fine liner
and stamped some little flowers and
sentiment in the pink area
using a stamp called Dressed to Impress (SU).
I used an old SU stencil
and some embossing paste to
add texture and then splattered in
white ink.
I finished with a black organza bow.

For my ATC I went with a masculine fashion feel.
The background was made by inking
up using distress oxides.
I then stamped the main image using
a set from The Stamp Man - Men 2.
In the gaps I stamped some dots using
a set from Visible Image called
grunge tones.
I finished with some stencilled numbers (SU)
and embossing paste and
added some splattered white and gold ink.

Christmas candles

I have another card for my Christmas list!!
I kept this one fairly CAS and
quick and easy to replicate.

I used a snowflake embossing folder from
IndigoBlu on a piece of white card.
I then ran that through my sewing machine.
Next I stamped the candles from IndigoBlu
and coloured them up with markers.
I stamped the sentiment in red
from the same set.
The card was stuck to my base card
and a sentiment stamped inside. Done!!
All items are from IndigoBlu
Mixed Media Special 12.

Mini file folders

This was another one of my projects recently.
I made some cute little mini file folders
with a paper clip closure which also
holds it to which ever page I need.
Great for my garden folio for this summer.

Items used
Timeless Arrangements (SU).
Tonic flower punch, paperclip, gems
and bakers twine and my scraps of course.

I have a quick tutorial here but it's really
not needed for any seasoned crafters 😁

I hope you have a really nice weekend.

Snippet play!

I gathered another little pile of snippets and
had a serious play!

From the snippets below I made these
sentiments.
I also added some little bits of lace, tulle,
my sewing machine and staples.
The words have been stamped using my
Contact USA alphabets.
Bear in mind they are tiny little things
but perfect for my folios etc.

then inside the stencil I added some
distress oxides in yellow and blue.
I then stamped over the stencil
with my chosen stamp and added
colour to the flowers using markers.
It was matted onto blue card then my base

Fashion time!

It's my turn to choose the theme for August at
and I have gone with
FASHION.
But you can go with anything goes theme.

I pulled out an old stamp from
Art Impressions called Girlfriends.
I just used one of the ladies.
I cut my tag shape and layered it
with some striped paper from my scrap box.
I stamped and cut the lady
then coloured her up with markers
and watercolour pencils.
I stuck her in place and then added
the sentiment using AALL & Create
Sharp Tongues pack.
I finished with some black ribbon.

and then added two strips of paper lace.
I stamped the sentiment from a set
