Babysitting is over for another couple of weeks.

Much as I love seeing the Grandkids the last two days

were fun but exhausting!!

Today it rained non stop so we couldn't get them outside

at all and after lunch they had a lot of surplus energy left.

Unfortunately we had very little 😂

 

Flowers at Tag Tuesday

It's my turn to choose the theme at

Tag Tuesday

and I have gone with FLOWERS!

I had a notion to make some handmade flowers

so went with lots of die cuts in white then used

some scraps from the background papers to make some rolled

flowers with a central pearl.

The background papers are from a pack called

Natural Touch. One side is woodgrain the other a lighter

textured colour.

I cut the tag shape using the lighter side

then add a torn piece from the other side,

over stamping with some wording from the

One Happy Family stamp set in Fresh Freesia ink.

The words were die cut using

Word Wishes dies and coloured with fresh freesia inks.

I added some gold bakers twine from the

Simply Elegant Trim pack and jewels

from the In-colour jewels pack.

To finish I added some gold organza ribbon.

This fun card followed Sketch 6 from

Kendra's Card challenge.

I got the cute Counting Sheet stamp set with

my pre-order and just had to have a play.

On hindsight I wish I had of put clouds as his embellishments,

another learning curve 😂 but easy to change.

Back to the craft room this morning but

it is still hot.

Yesterday consisted of lots of lollipops and drinks

for the Grandkids.

If this heat keeps up I might need to invest in a paddling pool,

though it would need to be a big one  so I could get in too!!

Make a joyful noise at Tag Tuesday

It's the second week our Sandie's music theme over at

Tag Tuesday

I decided to do a digital tag this time,

playing around with a few Nitwits sets that contain

music sheets and quotes.

I have saved it in my tag folder to print off

as and when I need it.

We have had lots of gorgeous entries so

I have the Grandkids today from 8.30 to 5pm

so will be hanging around the garden mostly.

Flowers of Friendship - Birthday

For my mid month inspiration over at

Stamping Sensations

where our theme is

FOR A LADY,

I have used Flowers of Friendship

to create the flowers on my card.

I had to do a lot of masking and colouring

but I totally enjoyed it and found it very relaxing

after a hard week helping my son to move.

The flowers have been coloured using my blends

and I flicked some of the ink when finished to create

a little colour in the white spaces.

The sentiment is from

I have another summer birthday card

to share today using card sketch 4 from

Along with the already cut papers I added

a backing layer and a square cut from my

layering dies using bumblebee card.

The stamp set is

and the inks I used are

Terracotta Tile and Bumblebee.

It is a very hot day today!

We planned to head to Omeath to the beach

but after a quick visit to the shops for necessities

we both felt it was too hot to sit in car.

So a nice day will be spent in the garden,

lunch, reading and relaxing!

Here I am with my second Christmas card using

Kendra's Card Challenge 3.

This is following sketch 2.

I used Just Jade card, basic borders dies, and

just jade ink pad.

The cute polar bear was cut from the

Penguin Playmates paper pack (free during saleabration).

I used a dotty embossing board, gems and wink of stella

to decorate.

We have to house sit my son's house to

wait on his internet being connected,

between 1 and 6 pm!

No internet, no telly and 3 large dogs to keep us company lol.

Penguin Place - card 1

 

So I know, mad as a hatter me

decided to do another version of

Kendra's Card Challenge 3.

In my defence I did get a brand new stamp, punch and papers

which were just crying out to be used!!

When I first saw this set in the new catalogue (available to buy 3rd August)

I just had to have them!

The papers were a free set from the Sale-a-bration! catalogue

which also starts on the 3rd of August.

Spend £45 and pick a free item.

So I had nothing to lose and a paper pack to gain!!

So I will be posting a card using this set

every Wednesday and Thursday, hopefully!!

Music at Tag Tuesday

Our new theme at

TAG TUESDAY

has been chosen by the lovely Sandie

and she wants to see a music theme!

I found this stamp in the back of my drawer from

Scrapberry's called Best Friends.

I thought it was perfect with the guitar and music sheets.

I coloured it using promarkers.

The sentiment and flowers are from the same stamp set.

I stapled a bit of  bumblebee ribbon to finish.

Happy Monday!

I am starting my week with card 3 using the sketches from

Kendra's card challenge.

This one was lovely to work with.

It is so great to be able to use so much stash up!

I have added pale papaya card to the

already cut strips.

It has been embossed using Bricks & Mortar embossing folder.

I used Ornate Layers Dies to create

the edges for each strip.

The butterflies were the ones I made a few weeks ago'

using  butterfly gala stamps, pale papaya ink and

clear embossing powder.
