Triple post!

Our November challenge them over at
is Christmas Critters!
Perfect time to get another Christmas card made.

Of course we have two fabulous prizes this month!
and

Dies, Christmas Design Papers and free artwork and

reflections download from Highlight Crafts

For my card I started with a blue base card.
I then tore some white paper to form the snow
and used embossing paste and a snow stencil
from Polka Doodles to add the snow over it all.
I then stamped the bears, parcels and trees
using an old SU set called Beary Cute.
Coloured them up and cut them out so
I could set them in place.
I stamped the Merry Christmas in red ink
from the same stamp set then
ran my blue marker around the edge to
highlight it a bit more.

It's also time for our November challenge over at
where I have chosen the theme of
make your own background.
You can make this as simple or as complicated
as you like or you can go with anything goes theme.

For my background I made some napkin paper.
I used a plain white napkin, separated and
painted over it with watered down pva glue.
The paper naturally wrinkles.
I then painted over it with distress oxides
in different colours and before it all dries
I sprinkled with glitter and micro beads.
When fully dried I peeled it off my
silicon mat and cut to the size of my tag
and stuck in place.
I then stamped the houses using
From Our House to Yours stamp set (SU).
I added some colour with markers and
then cut them out.
Before sticking in place I stamped some
trees in the background.
I then stamped and embossed the
sentiment on some vellum and
wrapped that around my tag.
I used a tiny piece of my background paper
to create the tab at the top and added
a Christmas tree brad in silver.

I used the same background paper for my ATC.
This time I added some black text stamping
and bell stamp from IndigoBlu.
I stamped the bell twice so I could three d it
and then coloured it in with markers.
I added some white stella paste around
the edges and rubbed some over my paper
using my finger for a frosty feel.
I finished with a stamped sentiment
from the same set.
