Labour of love

I have had an envelope full of prayer cards and Holy medals
belonging to my late Mum, in my bedside drawer for 19 years.
The contents are probably much older than that for sure!
I also used one of my Mum's cross stitch pieces for the cover.

So I thought it was time to give them a nice home.
I didn't take time to work out any details I just went for it lol.
I did want to give it an old vintage feel though.

For the pages inside I used some white card to
which I stuck pages pulled from a thesaurus,
inked round the edges and then run through my sewing machine.

The cover is hardboard and when I had finished all the pages
I realised I had no other choice than to bind it together
using my Cinch machine and some ribbon.
I am happy enough with the finished book but learned
a lot to NOT do next time lol.

You can watch a more detailed look here

For this project I have used
A Thesaurus, cinnamon cider ink pad,
vellum, lace, machine sewing and stickers.
I have used various SU stamp sets throughout
along with some Hunkydory word strips and embossing folders.

I would like to enter this into

Frosty morning but nice and sunny.
Had a good walk in the fresh air which we both enjoyed.
Now decisions decisions, will we light the fire??
It's at the other end of the house from my craft room though!!
