Today I decided to go with a baby card!

If you dropped by my blog last Sunday you would

have seen the pink baby card I made using this set.

This card follows card sketch 10 from

Kendra's Card Challenge 3

and because the only piece you have is the large dots

I had to go all green for this baby card.

Always handy to have a neutral coloured card on hand!!

I had a lovely visit from my Sister-in-law Liz

who is over from England visiting her family.

My brother didn't come this time but we are working on him lol.

Is anyone else a bit nervous about going places still?

Our numbers are still pretty high here and I have to admit

to getting the belly flutters when I'm in a shop!

Slowly getting there though. I am generally not a nervous person

but after what we have all been through it's to be expected I suppose.

Phew! It took a lot of time and energy.

Flowers of Friendship at Tag Tuesday

It's the second week of my challenge theme

FLOWERS

over at TAG TUESDAY.

I spent a lot of time on this one but so enjoyed it.

The flowers, leaves and sentiment are all from

Flowers of Friendship bundle

and I have gold embossed each one, including the sentiment.

The background of the tag was made using subtles dsp,

which I stamped over with my crackle paint stamp.

I stamped and gold embossed the sentiment,

then stamped, embossed and coloured the flowers

and leaves (mint macaron blends) and punched.

I arranged them all in place and then added a

gold punched dragonfly.

I finished it off with some mint macaron ribbon

and some metallic pearls and gems.

Dragonfly Garden - card sketch 9

No Grandkids this week so hopefully will catch up on everything I need to!

I am starting the week with sketch number 9 from

Kendra's Card Challenge.

I had already made my little dragonfly embellishment

and the paper cuts for this sketch just cried out for Old Olive card

for the background.

I embossed it with an old embossing folder.

The stamp set is called Dragonfly Garden

and I used the sentiment and dragonfly from that set.

The circles were punched and I finished off the sentiment

with some little Gold Metallic Pearls.

For my card I have gone with a new baby theme.

I got myself this lovely new bundle called

All For Baby which comes with matching dies,

and I have teamed it up with

polished pink papers and ink.

The baby clothes left and right are

stamped and die cut.

The one in the middle is die cut from the papers.

How cute are those little die cut pegs!!!

Each little embellishment on the baby suits has been

stamped and die cut.

I die cut a rectangle from the

rectangle stitched dies and place a piece of

white organza ribbon behind it.

Babysitting is over for another couple of weeks.

Much as I love seeing the Grandkids the last two days

were fun but exhausting!!

Today it rained non stop so we couldn't get them outside

at all and after lunch they had a lot of surplus energy left.

Unfortunately we had very little 😂

 

Flowers at Tag Tuesday

It's my turn to choose the theme at

Tag Tuesday

and I have gone with FLOWERS!

I had a notion to make some handmade flowers

so went with lots of die cuts in white then used

some scraps from the background papers to make some rolled

flowers with a central pearl.

The background papers are from a pack called

Natural Touch. One side is woodgrain the other a lighter

textured colour.

I cut the tag shape using the lighter side

then add a torn piece from the other side,

over stamping with some wording from the

One Happy Family stamp set in Fresh Freesia ink.

The words were die cut using

Word Wishes dies and coloured with fresh freesia inks.

I added some gold bakers twine from the

Simply Elegant Trim pack and jewels

from the In-colour jewels pack.

To finish I added some gold organza ribbon.

I got the cute Counting Sheet stamp set with

my pre-order and just had to have a play.

On hindsight I wish I had of put clouds as his embellishments,

another learning curve 😂 but easy to change.

Back to the craft room this morning but

it is still hot.

Yesterday consisted of lots of lollipops and drinks

for the Grandkids.

If this heat keeps up I might need to invest in a paddling pool,

though it would need to be a big one  so I could get in too!!

Make a joyful noise at Tag Tuesday

It's the second week our Sandie's music theme over at

Tag Tuesday

I decided to do a digital tag this time,

playing around with a few Nitwits sets that contain

music sheets and quotes.

I have saved it in my tag folder to print off

as and when I need it.
