Rudolf!

For this card I used a lovely image from
Mo's Patreon club.
I decided to try make it look like he was
peeping into the house through a window.

The papers came with the image and I
used a download from Nitwits for the frame,
sentiment and trees inside the window view.

This is a close up of the snow effect I did
around the window frame and Rudolf has
been coloured up using markers.
The sentiment inside the window also
comes with the image.

Snow business!

I'm sharing some more of my Christmas cards
made recently.
For these two I used a set from
Card-io stamps called Christmas Companions.

The snowman has been stamped onto the white card
and then I masked it off to add some blue background
and some white ink splatters for snow.
I coloured him up with markers
and stamped the sentiment on top
and finished with some glamour dust for added
sparkle!

Gift Wallet/Purse idea

More Christmas purse/wallet type gift card/money holders.

I came across a tutorial for something like this over on
Pink Strawberryz and decided to have a go.
I made four as you can see.
I did do my own tutorial where I changed things up a bit
which you can watch here.

You use one sheet of 12 x 12 double sided paper
so a great stash buster too.

I did a walk through video of the finished wallets
which you can watch here.

For my wallets/purses I used retired papers from SU
and filled it with some ATC's and stickers for decoration
along with a mini card and some covered chocolate.
The stamp sets I used are from Card-io.
I also did some machine stitching and made
the closure using velcro dots.

Measurements needed
One sheet of 12" x 12" double sided paper
Cut into 3 pieces at 4" x 12"
Score 2 pieces at 2/4", 3", 6", 9", 11 1/4"
Score 1 piece at 3", 6", 9"

Double post double prizes!

Our new challenge over at
has started and the theme is FANTASY.

We have a lovely prize up for grabs

so be sure and come and join us!!

For my card I used a fairy stamp which is
from Lavinia stamps which I got free with
a magazine a good few years ago.
It comes with the fairy, toadstools and some
greenery so that is what I used to build my scene.
I did add a stamp set called Peaceful Boughs (SU)
to create the border around my fairy.
I have highlighted her with white gel pen
and added lots of colours to her magical
Christmas sprinkles.
The sentiment is a sticker from my stash.
This little fairy is decorating her toadstools
for Christmas.

so I went with a badly needed Christmas card.

We have a lovely prize up for grabs here too
and a surprise second prize so be
sure and get your entries in!!

For my card I used an old stamp set called
Poinsettia Petals (SU) along with green and red
inks.
I just stamped and masked off my flowers in
the corners, added leaves and the berry background
and coloured up with my markers.
The sentiment just about fitted my gap lol.
I matted it onto my red card base.

Peace to you

I have another card for my finally filling up
Christmas cards!
Remind me, if God's spares me, to NOT
leave it so late next year!!

This one was kept simple, ie, no bulk.
I used the red base card onto which I
added an embossed shape using a TL folder.
I added some ribbon to this before adhering to
my card base.
I then stamped the image using a set called
Peace to You (SU) in real red ink.
I cut around the shape and stuck on top
of the embossed card.
The sentiment is from the same set,
stamped in red and added with a tiny
bit of lift using thin dimensionals.
I did follow the design inside but
totally forgot to photograph it
and now it's sealed shut lol.

Two more to make now!!

Red and green

It's time for a new challenge over at
and this month Lynn has challenged us
to use green and red but remember you have
the option of anything goes.

For my tag I used a stamp set from SU called
Poinsettia Petals along with red and green inks.
I punched my tag shape using the scallop tag
topper punch (SU) then randomly stamped
the berries.
I inked around the tag using a green ink.
I then stamped the sentiment onto
an oval shape in red ink.
I inked the edges in green then stuck
some pompoms on.
I added some enamel effects dots for
added texture then
finished the tag with green ribbon.

For my ATC I used the same set as above,
this time stamping and layering the poinsettia
and leaves and coloured them up with markers.
I made the background same way as my tag.
The sentiment came from an old
Hunkydory quote sheet.

Penguin wallet

I am really blasting through my gift boxes/wallets etc.
This one is for my eldest Grandson Oliver
and will hold a voucher to his favourite sportswear shop.
It's so much easier when they want to
choose their own clothes lol.

I made it from white card and decorated up using
some old papers from SU called Plaid Tidings.
The closure was badly cut using Basic Dies (SU)
and the wrap has been embossed using an old
Tattered Lace folder.
I punched a circle with matching card
then stamped using an Indigo Blu stamp
called Christmas Word Block in cherry cobbler ink.
This was punched out and layered onto the belly band.
I then added a large O for his name.
To finish off I stamped, punched and dressed
the wee penguin using Penguin Place (SU)
and stuck in place.

I have another two like this to make for
two more Grandsons.

Window box

I have started my Christmas crafting in earnest now.
Most gifts will be money or vouchers so I need containers
of some sort.

For two recipients I have gone with the triangle gift box
which I did a few years ago but this year
I changed things up and put an acetate
window in.
I did a tutorial if you are interested
and you can watch it here

I used some old papers from SU and you will get
two boxes from one 12" x 12" paper.
The die I used is an old one from Tutti Designs
and ribbon is from my stash.
The sentiment is from Itty Bitty Birthdays (SU)
and I used a label punch and some silver stickles.

Measurements Needed to make one
DSP - 6" x 12"
Follow video for folds etc.

Tree Books!

I made a little tree decoration for my Grandsons.
The two snowmen and the penguin images are from Dora
and the Santa is from Mo's Digital images.
They have all been coloured with markers.

I made the book using mirri card and inside
there are pages for the boys to write what
they want, what they get. They can also
add New Year wishes and then fill them in
again next year and see how much they have
matured over the year.
I ran the cover through my dotty embossing folder
and added the first letter of each of their names.
I also added some silver twine and a star bead
to hang on the tree and a clear clip
with a tree brad attached to hold it closed.

They only measure 2 1/2" x 2"
so should hang ok on their trees.

Rough it up!

It's time for my midway post for our challenge over at
where the theme is add texture or anything goes.

For my Christmas tag I cut my base in white card
and then matted it with some woodgrain paper (SU)
which I had ran through my plank embossing folder, (SU),
and then wrapped some lace around it.
I then ran the tag through my sewing machine
for some extra texture.
Next I die cut two hearts using a Spellbinders
set. The small heart was ran through a
dotty embossing folder and I then swiped some
white ink on the raised dots.
The larger heart was embossed using a
snowflake stencil and crystal paste.
I then added some die cut snowflakes using
a Tutti die set and finished them with some
gems. The words were stamped and cut
and positioned in place.
I finished it off with some white tulle.

Next up is my ATC. Lots of texture going on here.
So I started of with some heavy brown paper
from a Basic Grey set.
I stencilled on some crystal paste to the base
and then used some marigold embossing powder
to the bottom half and heat embossed it.
I then wrapped some twine around it.
Next I cut the coffee cup from an old paper set (SU)
along with some coffee beans.
The sentiment and spoon were stamped using the
Latte Love stamp set (SU) and all
added to my ATC.

A quick card for a man and as I had no idea
what theme to go with I went birthday cake lol.
Not a stamp inside here.
Everything is from a download from Nitwits
called Po-cake masc.
I printed it out, cut and layered up various parts
and added a sentiment and his name.
