Q-Con books

Just dropping in to share some of the things I made for
my daughter's table at Q-Con which was last week.
She did very well and sold a lot I had made
for her and the rest is being put in her Etsy shop.

The top photo shows some cute sketch books. Some
had popper closure some were just clip up
with a nice sentiment.

These ones have an elastic closure and are either
sketch books or note books.

These were tiny ones which were snapped up instantly.

I made about 10 of these ones.
All laminated and elastic closure.

I used papers from SU called Rock & Roll
and We R Memory Keepers, called teen angst.

Retire to the garden

Happy Monday!
I had a busy weekend as we were revamping my craft room.
It was long overdue and still a work in progress lol.
But nice to get organized and get rid of rubbish.

This card was made for a teacher's retirement
and she is destined for the garden lol.
So I thought this lovely image from Mo's Digital Pencil
called Eileen, would be ideal for her.
The papers I used are from Nitwits called
Porch Swing.
I printed off the papers and all the embellishments.
She has been coloured with markers.

For my card I used a stamp set from Penny Black
called Ate the Candles.
I used a kraft card for my base and some
green gingham for the background paper.
A piece of green ribbon was stuck
across the middle of the paper.
I stamped happy birthday from a set called
Country Birdhouse and the small cakes are
from a set called Tabs for Everything, both SU.
The cute little dog has been coloured up with
markers and the sentiment is from the
same stamp set.
I used a set of rectangle stitched dies (SU).

I'm also sharing my midway post for our
Close to Nature theme over at
and remember we also have an amazing prize
up for grabs there too!

For my card I went with a fun fold shape.
I had saw one on Pinterest but it wasn't linked
to anyone so no instructions/measurements to follow.
So put my brain in gear and made this from
the photo.

It was made for my daughter-in-law's Rachel's birthday
and she love nature and gardening.

It did take a bit of time but made a  nice card.

I have used papers called Countryside Inn and Balmy Blue card (SU).
The stamp sets used are called
Butterfly Gala + punch, Forever Fern
and Forever Flourishing Dies.
I used boho blue and flirty flamingo inks
and just had fun with lots of stamping and die cutting
making the little foliage bouquets,
finishing them with a bit of ribbon.
I added some stamped and punched butterflies
along with some nice sentiments to the book side
and stamped around my birthday verse side
using the same stamps and inks.

It did fold fairly flat and slipped into it's envelope easily.

Tools at the ready!

This card was made for a nephew of mine

So that's what he got lol.
I put the factory logo on his shirt
and followed the colours of his uniform.
The image is from KennyK and the
papers are from a download from Nitwits
called Assembly Required.
He has been coloured up with markers

Scrappy Bears!

Christmas in June!!
It must be this rotten weather we are getting lol.
But it happened totally accidentally.
I was hoking through my papers and pulled some
scraps out with the sheets I thought I was after.
They were Christmas ones so I just went with it.

I looked through some challenges and found
the Snippets Playground and Girlz creative Christmas
so went with my scraps and Beary Cute stamp set (SU).

Here are the scraps I used

I used the navy off cut and put the snowflake
paper underneath to show through the punched areas.
It was a bit bare so I ran it through my sewing machine.
The bears were stamped, cut and coloured.
The sentiment was stamped onto my oval
using starry sky ink (SU) and the
bears placed underneath.
I did ink some snowy mountains behind the bears
but they did not show up in my photo!
I finished it off with some snowflakes and gems.
Number one Christmas card done!!

Butterfly dreams

I took a little time out to decorate my mini book
from my tutorial last week.
This one has a butterfly theme as
I had a little drawer full of butterfly stickers.
The quotes are from an old Hunkydory Book and I
stamped a few from a set called Foliage
from AALL & CREATE and Stampin' Up! Butterfly Gala
and matching punch.

As it's so small I couldn't hold it and take photos
so you can see the insides on this
quick video.

More minis!

I have another little mini book for my daughter.
This one used the same papers from K & Co
but the pages inside were printed on copy paper
from My Porch Prints. I just used the pages with the
lines and some blank ones to stamp on.

I filled the blank pages with my stamped images
from two sets from Studio Light called
Floral Gems and Flowers & Butterflies.
I water coloured the images.

The front has been decorated using my stash
and I used a piece of ribbon for the closure.

You can watch a quick flick through here

or make one following this tutorial

I also made a few more but these were all printed
and then put together from
My Porch Prints
