Christening Day

I had a Christening card to make recently and this
is what I came up with.
The papers are from Nitwits - baby milestone girl
image is from Mo' Digital Images.
She has been coloured with markers and
her dress and hat have been covered in wink of stella,
but not showing in photo unfortunately.
I embossed the background using a Cuttlebug embossing folder.
Flowers where printed and fussy cut
from same Nitwits set.
It was finished with a ribbon and gems.

It's still chucking it down here.
My poor flowers have had the heads beat off them.
September is generally a nice month here
but certainly not this year!
Have a good week.

Things with wings

I sharing another tag and ATC for our midway challenge over at
where the option theme is things with wings.

For my tag base I started by covering it
in cosmic shimmer in candy pink.
I then used a stencil and some gesso
to add texture here and there.
When it was dry I stamped some text using
a stamp set called Gorgeously Made (SU).
Then I stamped some flowers from a set
called Flourishing Phrases and cut them out.
I inked up the background in various colours
of distress ink then spritzed with water and
removed some again.
The flowers were cut to fit the tag
and some pearls added to the centres.
Next came the dragonfly which was stamped, punched,
coloured and layered up.
The set is from SU called Dragonfly Garden.
I added some sentiments from an old Hunkydory book
and some sequins here and there.
It was finished with a piece of seam binding
which I coloured to match.
I definitely embraced the journey here lol
but totally enjoyed getting messy.

For my ATC I used some scrap paper cut to the size.
I stamped tree branch, leaves and music notes
directly onto my base. Then I stamped and punched
the bird, layering it up, and added to my branch.
The stamp set used is called Sweet Songbirds (SU).
The wording was cut from a free craft paper set from
years ago, which I coloured to match the bird.
I finally ran the ATC through my sewing machine
for the stitching.

Birthday celebrations!

A birthday card today.
This one is for my friend to give to her
Granddaughter who is very much into partying.

I have used one of my old UpTown girl stamps.
This one is called Ava loves to celebrate.
The papers and embellishments are all
from a Nitwits download called
Pocake-fem.
She has been coloured up using my markers.

Be happy!

I made another little brad bound book,
this time for myself.
I have filled it with lots of inspirational
saying that I have been collecting for a few years.

I just wanted something I could dip into
when I needed and I am quite pleased
with the finished book.

You can watch a quick flip through here

The papers I used are from  an old pack from
We R Memory Keepers called Promenade Pinwheel.
It has been laminated and I used brads as my
binding so I can add more if I want to.
The closure is a simple elastic with a little
flower attached.
Inside I have used lots of lace from my stash
and used an SU butterfly punch, using the leftover
papers, to keep the butterfly theme throughout.
I did add a few pages of vellum which has been
border embossed using an old folder from
Crafter's Companion.

It's absolutely miserable out there today.
Even the house is in darkness!
A day for the craft room me thinks 😑

For my card I used a stamp from Creative Expressions

The sentiment is from an old SU set called

Very quick, easy and clean and simple.

Vintage Folio

This folio has been lying around for a while waiting to be finished
so I finally took the bull by the horns.
It was a free download from Vectoria Designs a long time
ago which I printed off and inked up the edges.
The front has a bakers twine closure to which
I threaded on some cute star beads.
You can see the insides here

I have filled it with some tags, a mini notebook and
some atcs.

Cute little mini TNB

Back with the last of my Traveller's Note Books.
This bunch have been rainbow themed for
the upcoming craft show.

You can watch a quick run through here

I did make a bunch of the little ones, some bigger ones
and a few mini sketch books.

These are  the sketch books.
I just kept them plain, no beads etc, with brad spine and elastic closure.

My daughter was over the moon and hopefully
they will sell for her.
I bought all the stuff from Amazon which included
stickers, papers, elastic, beads, keyrings and ribbon.
Stamp set used: Love this moment (SU).

September Tag-along (and ATC's)

It's time for a new theme over at
and our optional theme has been chosen by Lynn
and she wants us to use
things with wings.

For my tag I followed a tutorial on YouTube from
Treasure Books, HERE.
She was making a teabag holder so I went with tag holder.

It's a lovely fold using 6"x6" papers
and inside I could fit another two tags.
So the front is a tag, inside holds two tags
and there is a little mini tag that holds it closed.

I used yellow card (SU),
paper scraps from my stash (SU),
stamp sets called
Delightful Day, Approaching Perfection and
Framed Florets.
I also used bakers twine, a brad, butterfly punch (SU)
and my sewing machine.

For my ATC I used a piece of scrap paper
and in the centre I stamped using a set from
Papermania called Chronology.
I then added some flower stickers to the corners.
I machine stitched around the edges and added
some black ink for definition.
The dragonfly was stamped, gold embossed and punched using
an old set from SU called Dragonfly Garden.
I inked it up with my blending brush and
added some gold pearls.
I finished it off with some wording from
the same sheet of paper which I ink blended
to match the dragonfly.

Computer geek

Another card today.
This one is for my hubby from his Mum.
Again I have been making these cards for as long as I
can remember and the ones for my hubby vary
between golf, athletics, coaching and computers.
So this year got computers... again lol.

I used an image from Mo's Digital Pencil
called Computer Guy. I coloured it up with
markers and the papers are a download from Nitwits
called Po-cake Masc.
All the embellishments where printed and layered
using the same download.

Pretty in pink

This card was made for a very caring, gentle girl
who has a birthday coming up soon.
The papers where not tall enough to fit my card so
I dug into my scraps and patched pieces together
with lace and my sewing machine.

The stamp set is from Woodware called Bubble Bloom
and I have decorated it up with card candi and gems.
I used markers to colour the leaves and machine stitched
around the stamped area.
I finished with some punched pieces for the sentiment
and stamped and coloured the butterfly to match.

Rainbow TNB

I'm making a few Traveller's Note Books with a
rainbow theme for my daughter's upcoming
stall for a Pride event in October.
So I will go with this style mostly and maybe
some slightly bigger or smaller.

I used rainbow papers from Amazon along with a
bunch of stickers, keyrings, ribbons and beads to decorate.
Even the elastic is rainbow themed!

You can watch a quick walkthrough of the inside here

Driving along...

This card is for a friend to give to her daughter-in-law.
The lady just got a new card so she wanted to
see that on the card.
I'm sure it's not a sports card but it is grey lol.

I have created a scene using Nitwits papers called
Bumbleberry Cottage and Beep Beep.
The image is from Bugaboo and has been
coloured with markers, fussy cut and put on
the road in my little scene.

We are in the middle of getting our ensuite renovated this week
which I am super happy about as it's
a real shipwreck at the minute lol.
Have a great weekend.

Some catitude!

Another TNB today with a cat theme.

I used my old papers from DCWV called All Dressed Up.
The cats and quotes came from a Nitwits download
called Catitude.

Embellishments used
pompoms, lace, brads, charms, tulle,
wool, laminator and elastic,
mostly old stash from my fabric drawer.

The one stamp set I used is an old Tim Holtz one
with cats, dies and embossing folder.

It's also time for my midway post for our flowers theme over at
Our prize this month is a £25 store voucher from Personal Impressions

This time I made a tag.
The stamp set I used is called Love What you Do (SU).
First I stamped the background shadow in pale blue then
I stamped the flowers over the top and
coloured them with markers.
I added a strip of lace to the bottom and stamped
the 'thank you' to one side.
I used a scrap of spotty ribbon for the bow and
added some little gems.
The top has had an eyelet added for the bead and tulle.
