Polar Bear TNB

I hope I am not boring you with these TNB but they
are so great for using up scraps etc from my stash.

This one has a polar bear theme.

I got to use up ribbon and lace and had fun
stamping, colouring and cutting out the polar bears
from a stamp set called Beary Cute (SU).
The papers were left overs from DCWV called
all dressed up.

You can watch a quick flip through here

Here is my before and after scraps.

Travelling on

It's time for some midway inspiration for my theme of
TRAVEL/anything goes over at

For this one I used some background paper from my stash
that was free with a magazine many years ago.
I cut my tag shape then using a stamp set called
Chronology, I stamped over the paper.
I then printed off some items from Nitwits
called Journey and arranged them on
my tag. I finished off with a punched circle
and some bakers twine.

For my ATC I stamped the mini bus onto some
paper scraps using a stamp set called
Driving By (SU).
For the background of my atc I added some
bits of paper from a set called
Classic Garage (SU) and stamped
some tyre marks which I placed the bus.
The letters were stamped, cut and coloured
and I added some punched flowers and gems
to fill in the gaps.
I ran my fine liner around the edge for some
definition.

I hope you get time to join us and remember
we have a lovely prize up for grabs!

Another word for hero!

I have a card for a friend's Granddaughter who is a nurse.
I have been making cards for this girl from she
was about 10 years old, she is now in her 30s!
I have just about used every nurse image I ever had
a few times for sure.
So for this card I just used Nitwits downloads!

The first download is called Ouchies and that's
where I got the background papers, and centre pieces.
The candles came from a set called Pocake Fem.
Everything has been cut, layered up for depth.

I added the wording on my computer and raised up
the nurse and layered up the candles and sentiments.
Came out good enough and is a little change
from a nurse image.

Travel

Crikey, the first of August already!!!
Time for a new challenge over at
and this month it was my turn to choose it
and I have gone with TRAVEL.
So any mode of travel or any place to travel to.
But you are more than welcome to join with
the anything goes theme on your tag or ATC.

For my tag I used a stamp set from
Visible Image.
I stamped the train along the bottom
and embossed it with clear embossing powder.
I made a mask for it and stamped some trees behind
and then added some clouds using my homemade
cloud stencil.
I stamped the sentiment from the same set and
then drew a couple of birds in the sky.
I punched an eyelet for my ribbons scraps
and the tag was matted onto some blue card.
This will make a great tag for a male journal I am making.

Beary cute scraps!

I was working on a project actually using a bunch of scraps
but still had a little bit left when finished
so decided to make a tag.

These are my scraps.
I did add a piece of scrap white for the tag base
then some silver to matt it onto.

I used the triangular off cuts for the top of my tag
and one solid piece for the bottom.
The stamp set is called Beary Cute (SU)
and I stamped the tree and stencilled some
snow and sky to my base.
I added a piece of white ricrac to the bottom.
The bear was stamped cut and coloured
and I stamped and cut round my sentiment
and backed onto some silver scraps.
The tag was finished with some tulle
and a bead.

How come using scraps is such hard work lol.
But saying that, I was tempted to just
dump these leftovers in the bin!

Plant a garden

I had a card to make for a friend to give to her daughter.
The theme I was given was gardening.
I used the background image from G Jane downloads (Etsy)
and the image is from Jelly Park (sadly closed).
I coloured her up with markers.
I cut her out so I could pop her into the scene.
To decorate the card I using a Nitwits download
called Vintage Garden and the name/sentiment
was done via my computer.

Summer theme

I made another little Mini Traveller's Notebook.
This one has a summer theme and the perfect size
to pop into your handbag/luggage to keep track
of your summer holidays.

It has been laminated and closes
with an elastic and a little charm.

Inside has 3 notebooks for writing and a few little
tuck spots for notes and cut parts from the paper pack.
I trimmed the books with lace and braid from my neglected
fabric drawer.

I have used papers from Echo Park
called Dive into summer.
Embellishments - lace, braiding, charm, tulle, elastic
and my laminator.

You can watch a quick walkthrough here

Birthday boy!

I made this card for a young 7 year old.
The image is a very old one on my Computer, 2013
and he is called Daydreaming.
Not sure where he is from but maybe
a design team I was on way back when. Sorry.

UPDATED - he is from Crafty Sentiments.
Thanks Aunty Sue for that.

He has been coloured up with markers.
The papers are a download from Nitwits called Big Top.

Brad bound!

Happy Monday!

I came across a lovely tutorial over at
Cathy's Garden where she showed how you can make
a junk journal using brads for the spine.

I still can't get my head around vintage and junk and tend
to go for a cleaner look so I decided to have a go
my way.

I used papers from DCWV - all dressed up.
Vellum from my stash.
Stamps - Love this moment (SU).
Embellishments - fibres, lace, ric rac trim,  brads, butterfly punch.
Stencils - freebie from magazine
Printables - My Porch Prints.
Embossing folder - Crafter's Companion

Double day!

It's time for our midway post over at
where this month's theme is
summer blooms or anything goes.

We do have a lovely prize up for grabs so come and join us!

For my card I used set number 229 - blooming field
from AAll & Create.
The paper I used for the background is a very old one
from We R Memory Keepers. It's actually a 12" x 12" sheet
which I had to carefully cut down so I could get
that lovely frame to work for my a5 card.
I covered the joins with butterflies and it worked out well.
The flowers were stamped, coloured with markers
and cut out.
I stamped the sentiment below and added a ribbon
to the flower stem.
For the sentiment I punched  (SU) out the shape twice,
once in cream and again in pink.
I added some tails of the same ribbon underneath
the sentiment.
To finished I added some sequins to the butterflies.

It's also time for our midway post over at
and the theme is sun, sea, sand or anything goes.

We have a lovely prize up for grabs here too!

For my card I have used an embossing folder
from Crafters Companion called Charming Coral.
I embossed it onto blue card then ran my
white ink pad over the top to pick up the embossing.
The stamp set is called Marine Life
from Globleland (Amazon).
It's a one piece stamp so I stamped it out then
cut out and coloured up the ones I wanted.
I used a die cut circle for the centre, added
my sentiment from a set called Sending Support (SU)
then filled up the gaps with the shells.
Before sticking the circle in place I wrapped
the blue card with some netting.
I finished it off with the coloured up items.

Little snippets!

I took a little time out to have a play
and use up some snippets to join in the challenge at

I pulled these out of my scrap box along with a very
old pack of LOTV stamped images I got free with a magazine
a long time ago.

The pieces look big but they really aren't and the card
is just a note size card 3 1/2" x 5"
but it will make a cute gift card for my granddaughter one day.

The stamp set I used is called  Circle Sayings (SU)
and the ink is polished pink (SU).
I added some lace from my stash and punched
a tiny little flower in pink and lilac leftovers
and finished with a little gem.
She has been coloured up with my markers.
