Snowy Christmas

Just popping on to share a card I made for one of my boys.
There is Mum, Dad and two boys so I used half
a snowman for each of the kids.
I used some wintery background paper from SU and added
some torn paper for the snow hills.
The snow people are from a Polkadoodles stamp and die set.
They have been coloured up with markers and
I stamped and coloured some parcels to set in front of the kids.
The snow has had some glamour dust sprinkled on
and I stamped the sentiment from
Itty Bitty Christmas (SU) and punched the layers out
using the double oval punch (SU).

I'll be back tomorrow with my tag then that's me
stuck in the kitchen for a while lol!

Christmas Angels

I finally had some time to make these little angels
which I have had on my to do list for a couple of years!!

For the beads I bought a 99p beaded ornament from
Home Bargains and took it apart.
The beads were the perfect size for the face.
I gathered up whatever material scraps I had in my drawer.
I used tulle and some gold netting.
I tied her waist with red ribbon and her arms
were made from some heavy twine.
Her hair is made with threads in brown and I cut
her wings from some white foam.
I did have to draw her face on but it didn't come
out too bad lol and I gave her a little halo
made from pearls.

You can see I plaited her hair at the back to keep it tidy.

Of course when I showed it to my daughter she wanted one.
As her hair is black and white (we call her Cruella De Vil 😂)
I had to give the angel the same hair.
This time I used wool.
They do look so sweet on my tree and I am so tempted to make more!!

Selection Pack!

As always I have made the kids some selection packs.
I think these are much better value than buying
the usual selection boxes.

For the boys I did a snowman theme using the Snowman
stamp set from Polkadoodles.
He has been die cut and coloured up using markers
then stuck to some red paper matted onto silver card.

Inside the packs I have included warm socks,
cocoa drinks, chocolate treats, candy cane and biscuits..

I also made one for a young niece who calls around
Christmas time.
I went with a Santa Claus for her from Do Crafts
coloured up with markers and matted the same as the others.

I hope you are all ready, craft wise at least for the big day!!
I will be back tomorrow with some little angels.

Snow, snow, snow!

I made this card for my midway post over at
where the theme is winter!
I hope you get time to join us as we have some
amazing prizes up for grabs!!

For my card I used a snowman stamp from Polkadoodles.
He was stamped and coloured with my markers.
I inked up some snowy hills for the background
and layered him up with a blue square die cut mat.
On the base card itself I used a Polkadoodles stencil
to create falling snow and added a die cut snowflake
from Tattered Lace.
The large sentiment is from AALL & Create set called Brum Brum.

For my midmonth card over at
I have gone with an AALL & Create stamp
called Brum Brum and made an easel card.
The theme is WINTER or anything goes.

Have you joined in yet? You still have two weeks
and you don't want to miss out on a chance to
win some amazing prizes!!

I covered my card base using papers from a set called
Winter Meadows (SU), one side blues
the other foilage.

The image was stamped onto a circle, coloured up
with markers and I then stamped some snow using one of
the stamps. I added glue to the snow circles and filled
it with fake snowflakes.
The sentiment is from the same set and the holly and berries
are from Hang an Ornament set (SU).

I finished the inside using the same size circle
and stamped an image from Evergreen Elegance stamps (SU).

I have another tag for my theme CHRISTMAS

This time I used scraps from my scrap box
along with a stamp and die set called
Hang an ornament (SU).
I stamped the bauble and holly and berries.
When the background papers were layered onto my tag
I ran it through my sewing machine.
I then added the bauble and holly
and finished with some ribbon and a little bow.

Night in Bethlehem

I had another play with Night in Bethlehem set,
this time incorporating the dies into the card as well.
This time I went with yellow for the stars
and used silver and white for the city scape.
Mary and Joseph was stamped in azure afternoon ink
and die cut.
I inked the sand area soft suede and built up my scene
and stamped the sentiment with white embossing powder.
It looks crooked in the photo but it's fine in real life.
before placing Mary and Joseph in the front.
It was layered onto silver and azure afternoon card to finish.

Blessed Christmas wishes

We lost our only living uncle this year and I wanted to send out
a special card to my Aunt and cousins this Christmas.
This set get pulled out every year. It's called
Night in Bethlehem.
So I started by created the background by stamping the large and
small stars using versamark ink and then embossing them with
clear embossing powder.
Next I inked the background using Azure Afternoon ink (SU).
I inked down so far, leaving space for my city scape and land.
I added some heavier lines where the star was shining.
Next I stamped Bethlehem and gently inked around it.
I used black soot distress ink to created the silhouette
land and mountain then stamped the shepherd on the top.
I added some yellow to the houses and finished
with a star in the centre of the white star.
The sentiment was stamped directly onto the black
then white embossed.
It has then been matted onto silver and azure afternoon card.
Nice and flat for posting.

We went to watch one of our Grandson's with his school choir
in the Shopping Centre this morning.
Kids singing definitely makes Christmas special.
It was such a joy to watch.
He was super chuffed when he spotted us in the crowd
as his parents both had to go to work.

Christmas tag

It's my turn to choose the theme over at
and because I need more tags I thought
CHRISTMAS would be perfect.
I am sure some of you are in the same boat lol.

So for my first tag I went with a shaker.
I used a stamp and die set called Hang an Ornament
from SU, along with old olive card and ink.
I cut the bauble shape from my tag base
then ran the base through the snowflake embossing
folder from Embossilicious.
I then swiped my white ink pad gently over the top
so the snowflakes picked it up.
I added some acetate to the back then cut another
tag the same size. I stamped and cut the bauble
using old olive ink and positioned behind
the acetate window. I added some dimensionals
and filled it with some colourful sequins.
It was then sealed up ready to shake!
I finished with some stamped holly and berries
and some ribbon at the top.

I hope you get time to play along with my theme this fortnight.

Stash Buster 8

I made this little gift box for a bauble I bought from Etsy
for my Son and Daughter-in-law.
It is a pet one for their tree.
Sadly this last year they lost their two big dogs,
which broke their hearts!
This was Gino and Suki.

So the bauble (flat) arrived in a little plastic bag
and I wanted it to look a bit nicer.

Nearly there!!

I got this gorgeous wee digi stamp from Mo's Digital Pencil Patreon club
and have been dying to colour her up. So I did!
I used a slim embossing folder to add a holly panel
along the side of my card and coloured in the holly berries.
The embossing folder is a Tattered Lace one.
I coloured with markers and cut out my little girl and stuck her to
the bottom of the card and finished with the large
sentiment from AALL & Create brum brum stamp set.

Sunny Christmas!

This card was made for a family member who will be
in Orlando for Christmas! Lucky man!!
So I didn't want to go with the traditional Santa and
thought this would be ideal.
Either way, the weather is hopefully warmer than here!!

The papers are from Winter Meadow (SU) and the
stamp is from a set called So Santa (SU).
He has been coloured up with my markers.
The large sentiment is from AALL & Create called Brum Brum.
The green card is garden green from SU.

Let it snow!

I still have a few cards to add to my stash so I went with
a quick and easy one.
I found two sheets in a pack that had the little snowman
still in tact so I cut him out and saved him for my card.
With the rest of the sheet I ran it through my cutting machine
using a die called Patchwork Pieces (SU).
When cut I inked the edges of each piece then put
back together for my background.
I embossed the base of my card with a holly folder from
Tattered Lace. Added my die cut pieces then
added some snowflakes cut using a Tutti Die.
I finished it off with my little snowman and
some punched circles and a sentiment from Snowman Season stamps. (SU).
I added some sparkle sequins to the snowflakes.

Let it S.N.O.W.

It's the second week of Sandie's LETTERS theme over at

This week I found some colourful letters leftover from a
paper pack so I hunted out the letters for snow.
I made a tag base using blue and lime green card.
Using embossing paste and a snowfall stencil from
Polkadoodles I covered the blue background in snow.
I then stamped the snowman from Spirited Snowmen (SU),
coloured him up with markers and cut him out.
He was stuck in place. I then inked round the edges of
my cut up SNOW letters and stuck them in place.
I stamped let it from Snowman Season stamp set in blue
and added the to my tag.
It was finished by shaping the top and added some
green ribbon.

Stash Buster 7

I designed these gift holders a few months back
but only got the chance to make the video!
You just need a 6" x 6" sheet to make one
and they are the perfect size for money or gift card
with a little tag at the back to write on.

This is the back pocket for the tag which you could
add some decoration to if you were inclined.

I have made a bunch to have for a lot of occasions
as that is mostly what we give as gifts now.

You can watch my video tutorial here
