Tri fold Folio

I have another stash busting folio to share today.
The tutorial is from Cathy's Garden on YouTube.
I have changed a few things and everything has
been machine stitched which makes it really sturdy.
This one is a tri fold folio.

I have made a notebook for the left side with matching pen.
The pockets, front, back and centre contain a tag.

The centre is a larger notebook and to the right I have
made a little scratch pad with various scraps
stitched together.

You can watch a quick walk through here

Have a break!

I'm sharing a card I made recently for a friend's Granddaughter.
She is a keen student so I thought this
lovely LOTV image would suit her perfectly.
The papers and flowers are all from Nitwits Authentic set.
The image is LOTV coloured up with markers.

All about your abc's

It's time for a new challenge theme over at
and this time Sandie wants to see letters of the alphabet,
at least 3,  on our tags.

For my tag I embossed my tag base using a cuttlebug embossing
folder. I then ran my finger laced with metallic rub ons,
over the top of the embossing.
Next I tore a piece from my thesaurus. The edges have
been inked and I stamped my feather on top
from a set from Hot off the Press called Feathers.
I stuck it onto my tag. Then I stamped the sentiment onto
some white card, tore the edges and inked up in blue ink.
It was stuck over the top of my feather and I finished
with some sparkly ribbon stapled in place.

I hope you get time to come along and play.

Labour of love

I have had an envelope full of prayer cards and Holy medals
belonging to my late Mum, in my bedside drawer for 19 years.
The contents are probably much older than that for sure!
I also used one of my Mum's cross stitch pieces for the cover.

So I thought it was time to give them a nice home.
I didn't take time to work out any details I just went for it lol.
I did want to give it an old vintage feel though.

For the pages inside I used some white card to
which I stuck pages pulled from a thesaurus,
inked round the edges and then run through my sewing machine.

The cover is hardboard and when I had finished all the pages
I realised I had no other choice than to bind it together
using my Cinch machine and some ribbon.
I am happy enough with the finished book but learned
a lot to NOT do next time lol.

You can watch a more detailed look here

For this project I have used
A Thesaurus, cinnamon cider ink pad,
vellum, lace, machine sewing and stickers.
I have used various SU stamp sets throughout
along with some Hunkydory word strips and embossing folders.

Frosty morning but nice and sunny.
Had a good walk in the fresh air which we both enjoyed.
Now decisions decisions, will we light the fire??
It's at the other end of the house from my craft room though!!

Anything is possible!

We have another week of anything goes over at

This time I made two tags in different sizes.
These were made to go in one of my folios.
The backgrounds were cut from some grid paper from a pack
from K & Company.
I inked up the background in gorgeous grape then stamped
some text from Gorgeously Made stamps.
I then added bits of stickers and topped them with
wording from a Hunkydory pack called Just My Type.
I then melted some ribbon with my heat gun
and stapled to the top of each tag.

Come and join us this week and be in for a chance
to get a coveted badge for your blog!!

Oh winter is upon us lol.

We had another family funeral on Sunday, that's

Feel the magic!

This is my card for our midway post over at
where the challenge is anything goes option something magical.

We have an amazing prize up for grabs so
be sure and join us!!

For my card I used a selection of fairy stamps from
Crafters Companion.
I created the background using 3 different ink colours,
masking off a circle for the moon.
I stamped the toadstool house separately then cut it out,
coloured it up and stuck in place.
I stamped the fairy, branches, dragonflies, toadstools
and grass wherever my heart desired lol.
I then inked round the edges of my card and run
it through my sewing machine.
It was matted onto my base card and I then
added some white pearlized enamel dots!

Accordion Journal with pockets!

I came across this great tutorial on YouTube from
It has accordion pockets on one side and
the opposite side flips into a journal style!
I'm a bit of a stationery lover so this was right
up my street!!

Perfect for saving money, receipts etc throughout the year
and keeping a log of your entries too!

I added elastic closure to mine and decorated it up with brads
and stickers from Bo Bunny (very old).
The papers I used are from Delightfully Eclectic (SU)
Stamps used are from EC month stamps and
I used an eyelet and elastic thread from my stash.

Life's special moments

I had a card to make for an upcoming birthday
and had absolutely no mojo at all.
So I went on a hunt for  a sketch and came across this one
over at Sunday Stamps.
As this is a December birthday I went with
rich shades of blues and pinks.

I have used a stamp set called Places in the heart (SU),
papers are from a Nitwits download called Pocake
and the images has been coloured with my markers
and some wink of stella.
I used my oval dies for main image.

Pretty tag!

Our new challenge theme over at
has been chosen by Valerie and she has gone
with anything goes!!
Easy or what!

I have gone with a pretty butterfly tag.
I started with a piece of white card and stamped
some text from Gorgeously Made stamp set.
I then inked it up using gorgeous grape ink.
I punched the top for the tag shape and then
added some butterfly stickers and flower stickers
from my stash.
I took it to my sewing machine and stitched all the
way round in white thread.
I then stamped the sentiment
and added to the centre.
The ribbon has been heated with my heat tool
to make it shrink and curl and I
attached it to the tag.

A bit odd barbequing in November but this card is winging it's way

Pretty Folio and pen

I have made another folio to use up my 12 x 12 stash.
This one used papers from K & Company and My Mind's Eye
along with some Soft Sea Foam card.

I saw a folio made by May May on YouTube which sparked
an idea and this is what I ended up with.
The front is magnetised and I added a matching pen.

Inside there are note cards and a jotter
decorated with stickers, machine stitched and some stamping.

Flip another page and you get some pockets holding
another little note book and some pretty tags.
It is full of nice friendship and inspirational quotes.

Magical moments!

Our new challenge theme for November over at
is anything goes option make it magical!

And of course there will be some very magical stamps
up for grabs so be sure and join us!!

For my card I used stamps from Lavinia.
I started by masking off my background using a circle
from Lisa Horton Crafts. The inks I used are all
distress inks in spiced marmalade, mustard seed and peeled paint.

I then stamped the foliage, fairy and toadstools in memento black
and then used Tahitian Tide (SU) ink to add some flowers.

I still felt something was missing so stamped the wording
on either side of her from the same stamp set.
I added some dots to the toadstools using a white acrylic pen.
I added some wink of stella to her wings.
I then edged the whole thing in black ink and matted
onto my card base.

Come and join us this month!!
