Hats off to you!

It's the second week of Michele's theme HATS
over at
I found this party hat in The Gang's all Meer stamp set
so just stamped it in a few colours, cut them out and placed on my tag.
The tag itself has been cut using  Countryside Corners Dies.
I stamped the background using a circle stamp from Timeless Arrangements
then inked up the background in Bumblebee ink.
I added the sentiment and finished with stapled ribbon.

Worry Worm!

Not a card but I did stamp the background with my crackle paint stamp.
I have been crocheting some Worry Worms to give out
to my customers. I think they are a lovely idea, and perfect
for little people and adults alike.
Though I do state to keep away from kids under 3 because of
the wiggly eyes. They are hot glued on but kids are pretty
good at dismantling things lol.
I am not great at crochet but like having a go and
these took minutes to crochet!
You are supposed to hang on trees etc as random acts of kindness.

Add a little stencilling

Our May challenge over at
is anything STAMPED option do some stencilling.

We have two lovely prize up for grabs so come and join us!

For my card the stencilling was done by cutting myself a cloud border
using the basic border dies.
I then just used a variety of inks to create a pastel cloudy background.
I then stamped the branches, leaves, flowers and music notes on
top of my stencilling.
The little birds where stamped and punched and stuck in place
using dimensionals.
I finished with a stamped sentiment from the same set
Sweet Songbirds.

I am looking forward to seeing what you all create!

And here are the Grandparents. My husband Brian is on the left,
then Granny Breige, Tom, Sean, me and Granda Pat.
we swapped for the photo lol.

Double/triple colours

I made this card for a VIP video tutorial for my customers.
It's a fun technique but I got very messy lol.
It's a way of adding up to three colours to your stamp
to get that lovely shaded look without using sponges or daubers,
which not every crafter has.
A lot quicker than colouring in!

The colours are all from the 2022-2024 in-colours along
with the matching dsp and card.

I finished off the inside with the same technique.

So my son who is into triathlons was involved in an accident on
Wednesday night. He was cycling and a car cut right across two lanes into him.
He tried to avoid it and slammed on his brakes but just couldn't avoid her.
He bashed into the side of her, came head over heels off his bike
and landed on his head and shoulder.
He spent Thursday in A & E having woke up in an awful lot of pain.
He was a lucky boy to get up from it. He got up changed his burst tyre
and cycled home best he could on his ban jacked bike!
People be careful out there! Think once, think twice, think BIKE.
I have banned him from cycling anywhere ever again!!!
Happy to report scans and x-rays were clear, just very badly
bruised and they sent him home with painkillers and told to rest.

Hats on at Tag Tuesday

Can you believe it is MAY already!!
We have our Grandson Tom's First Communion next Saturday
and then I have my daughter-in-law's birthday and then my
sister's and my own birthday at the end of May.
Then thankfully, we have booked a few days away in
Westport, County Mayo. Soooo looking forward to a wee break.
When we come back we have my husband's nephew's wedding
and then hopefully a break from celebrations until September
when we have yet another wedding!!

Our new theme over at
has been chosen by Michele and she wants to see
hats!

I don't have many stamps with hats so went back to my
Adorable Owls set as this one has a party hat on!
I had this strip of pastel clouds left over and it
was the perfect size for my little owl.
I stamped some branches and leaves using
Sweet Songbirds, then stamped
him, coloured him and cut him out.
The sentiment was stamped and I finished it
off with a piece of stapled ribbon.
