Happy Halloween!

This is another card I made up for my October customers.
I have used the beautiful Framed Florets bundle and Fitting Florets dsp
available in my shop from tomorrow!!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

These are the treats I made for the Grandsons.
Bit of a blurry photo but I simply filled some
Halloween cups with treats. I then made rosette,
inked up with black for a spooky feel.
I added some chocolate coins to the front and a spider to the back.
They were attached to a straw and stuck in their cups.
The boys did love them thankfully.
My 9 year old Grandson said: 'you put so much work into these Granny
and now we are just going to dismantle them'!
He does make me smile that boy!!

We have the family calling throughout the day for some
apple tart, custard and/or ice-cream.
The kids will be dressing up and maybe some of the adults too!!
I am not really into Halloween at all and will be
happy to see tomorrow morning!!
Enjoy your day, whatever you are up to!

October Customer Kits

As a thank you to my October customers I am sending out
three card kits for them to make up.
This is the first one.

It has been made using a brand new bundle available from November.
It's called Framed Florets and the dsp is called Fitting Florets!

I really have enjoyed playing with it.

As I can't send out stamped images/sentiments I have used
the designer papers to cut the flowers, frames and leaves.
One of the dies fits perfectly over one of the flowers on the dsp.

Another beautiful day outside.
We spent a few hours lifting leaves and clearing the garden
yesterday then woke up after a storm last night to an even
worse scene lol. It is never ending at this time of year!
But it is a beautiful site with all the colours.
Have a lovely weekend and thanks for stopping by.

Colours of Autumn

It's the second week of our theme
Colours Of Autumn
over at

For my tag today I had a play with some stamps and colours to make
my background. There are some little gold flecks
flicked here and there but they do not show up in the photo.
The leaves have been die cut in coloured card then
inked around the edges and stuck in place.
I stamped the sentiment and cut round it.
The tag has been finished with a stapled ribbon.

Hope you get time to come and share your beautiful tags with us.

Colours of autumn

I am guest designing at
this week and the theme is
Colours of Autumn.

For my card I started out using the double aperture rectangle stencils
from Lisa Horton to create an autumn gold background (pumpkin pie).
I spritzed with water and mopped it up to get the speckled look.
I kept the stencil in place and stamped the trees and leaves from
a set called Autumn Days (simply cards & papercraft) in
early expresso ink.
The sentiments were also stamped in early expresso
and come from the same stamp set.
I finished by stamping a small leaf beside the bottom sentiment.

No colouring!!

I started making this card/video for my facebook group,
fully intending to spend a bit of time colouring the flowers
when a light bulb went on in my dusty head!
So I decided to stamp the flowers onto the same paper I used
and just added a bit of shading with matching blends and some
highlights using the chalk pen.
Saved me a lot of time and I really like the effect.
If you choose the area of paper carefully you can get some really
nice shaded looks to your flowers.

It was so warm here yesterday I was able to walk the dog
with no coat on. Today is the complete opposite.
Wet, windy and cold!!
Enjoy your weekend and thanks for stopping by.

Box gift tutorial

I have a tutorial over on YouTube
showing how I made these little gift boxes.

We have been invited to a Jewish celebration just before Christmas
and during the 8 days we bring small gifts for each other.
So I thought I had better made a start on mine!

These little boxes hold a lovely smelly candle and I am
stamping the names of each recipient on the boxes.
Everything I have used is linked below.

Measurements needed
Pretty Prints dsp - 7" x 8 1/2"
Score short side - 1/2", 2 1/2", 4 1/2", 6 1/2"
Score long side - 2", 4", 6", 8"
