Marie Antoinette!

It's the second week of Michele's theme
Marie Antoinette over at

This week I grabbed a free image of her, made
an oval frame using highland heather card, to which I glued some pearls.
I made a bow using the gold stuff (don't know what it's called lol),
a bit of lace to tie it together and finished with a little flower.
All stuff from my soft material drawer which hasn't seen
the light of day for a while!!

Rainbow Cloud Cards

My tutorial today uses up more scraps of card and designer papers.
I used my cloud die to create the space
and chopped up lots of scraps from my Subtles card and dsp.

Thank you card and tag

After my brayer session on Sunday I decided to put the backgrounds
I made to some use so I followed the lovely sketch over at
Try A Sketch on Tuesday.

I even made a matching tag with another bit and still have more
left for using in my memory books.

The stamp set I used is called Darling Details and I've gone
with daffodil delight and azure afternoon ink pads.

Thankfully the storm has past! We had a bit of water getting down
the chimney as the seal blew up during the storm.
But it was nothing major at all thankfully.
Hope you are safe and sound too!

Tag Tuesday challenge

Our new challenge theme over at
has been chosen by Michele and it's
Marie Antoinette!

I was a bit stumped trying to think of what stamps I had that
would fit the theme.
So I went with opulence and cut the tag out of More Dazzle paper.
I then stamped the cupcake from Circle Sayings and the
sentiment is computer generated.
I don't think Marie Antoinette actually said that in real life
but it was used in the film remake.
I finished with a piece of ribbon stapled to the top.

Thankfully my daughter arrived safely in Paris and is having
a great old time.
My  second eldest son was not as fortunate and his fence and several roof tiles
came down.
We are expecting Storm Jocelyn tonight,
again with very strong winds and yellow warning in place.
Stay safe everyone!

Brayer it up!

Happy Monday!
OMG what a storm we had last night!
We had a yellow warning all day Sunday, then at 12 midnight it
shifted up to amber. I swear I thought the new roof was going to come off!!
My poor daughter left for Dublin airport at 5am this morning,
in the eye of the storm!!
Waiting patiently to hear from her. They are due to fly out
to Paris at 9am.

I had a play with my brayer today and decorated
this box using Parakeet Party ink and an embossing folder.
The brayer is a great help for covering the embossing folder evenly.
I finished the box off with some ribbon, sentiment and gems.

Case a card!

I saw a lovely card via the CRAFT challenge blog made
by a lady called Judy V and instantly wanted to give it go.

I have used scraps from my Countryside Inn paper pack
and the flower is from the Paper Florists die pack.
Sentiment is from Biggest Wish stamp set.

You can watch my video tutorial HERE.
