Birthday chocolate

It will be my youngest son Milo's birthday on the 4th July
and even though he will be 39 I still like to give him
a bit of chocolate packaged up for his birthday.

His favourite is Yorkie bars so that's what I designed the box to fit.
It holds 3 chunky bars.

You can watch my tutorial here

I used Latte Love Bundle to match his birthday card.

Birthday dates book

I pulled out my very neglected Cinch machine to make this little
book for my Mother-in-law to keep all her birthdays in.
She sends card to her own kids, her Grandkids and her Great Grandkids
so you can imagine it would be hard to keep track.
I did have a little book I made her a few years back but it is well worn now.

This little one measures 2 1/2" x 3" and takes up no room at all.
I did the months in doubles and allowed plenty of pages
to be able to write the names and dates.
In between each section I added a coloured card with
a nice sentiment stamped on it.
I added ribbon for ease of opening each section too.
The covers are made using chipboard.

You can watch my quick 30sec video here of the insides
and you can see I used one of my cluster embellishments
from last week to decorate the front.

Say it with flowers!

It was my turn to pick the theme this time over at
TAG TUESDAY
and I have gone with flowers!

I used a stamp and die set called Country Flowers from SU.
I stamped the background with one of the smaller stamps
and added a band of pink to ground my design.
The teapot is being used to water the plants 😁
I mounted it onto pink card and finished with some matching ribbon.

Cluster Embellishments

Today I have made some cluster embellishments for
my cards and mini albums.

These are such good fun to make.
So quick and easy and great for using up scraps
or left over stamped pieces from other projects.

The country birdhouse stamps and dies

It's been such a busy week here for us.
Between babysitting, sports days and helping with MIL it's
all go. Now hubby has sore throat so hopefully nothing comes of it!
Apparently there is a bad outbreak of COVID in the hospitals along
with the Norovirus!
Be careful out there!

Oh happy day!

I have another mini book to share with you.
This one measures 3" x 3" but packs a punch for sure.
This is the last of that particular paper pack!!

I even used the cover of the paper pack as a cover for my book.
It was such good quality and has a plastic coating on it
so it was perfectly sturdy and great for my snap button closure too.

I made this book for my brand new Granddaughter Aimee.
I know from years gone by that we all want to know where we
come from and what our Grandparents and Great Grandparents look like,
so that's what this book does.
You can watch a quick video here to see the insides.

It's a beautiful sunny day today.
I think I should take a photo in case it's only here for the one day!!
We have baby sitting duties today again with Sean and Tom.
It's been such a busy month I have had to put most of my
commenting on hold but I will catch up on everyone!!!

Inspirational blues!

It's time for my midway post for
STAMPING SENSATIONS
where the theme is anything goes with option mood board to inspire you.

We do of course have an amazing prize bundle so definitely
worth your while entering!!

For my card I followed a sketch over at
Cheerful Sketches.
I was inspired by the blues, flowers and butterfly from the mood board.
I used papers from my Country Woods pack and the flowers
where stamped, coloured and die cut using
Country Flowers Bundle.
It was matted onto some night of navy card which I embossed
on my embossing board to create stripes.
I finished with some little sequins and a die cut butterfly.

Air Travel!

I have another tag for Sandie's TRAVEL theme over at

I got out my very old Twinkling H2Os
and just had a big old play with them.
I was like a child in primary school, no inhibitions at all lol.
It is a bit of a mess but it was good fun.
The stamp is from a set I must have got free with a magazine a long
time ago but it was perfect for Sandie's theme.

I hope you get time to join us this week.

D.I.Y Embellishments

While making my mini albums I kind of struggled when
it came to decorating them, especially if the paper pack didn't have
anything suitable to cut up.

So I decided to make my own.
I  choose the Country Birdhouse stamp and die bundle
and just went to town.
I made small envelopes using the envelope punch board
to hold a tag and decorated it up.

You can add an appropriate sentiment depending on your project.
These would be perfect for decorating up a card as well
as an album.

I did do a quick tutorial but of course it depends on
the stamps and dies you intend to use.

Everyday journal idea

As I was working my way through this particular paper pack
I decided to make an everyday household journal
with the bigger pieces I had.
On the front I have made a cute shaker and the closure is
made using a little snap button.
Inside there are pockets for photos and pages you can write on.

I have a quick video of the insides here.

Travel

Our new challenge them over at
TAG TUESDAY
has been chosen by Sandie and she wants to see anything
travel related!

For my tag I used some background paper that had a city scape on it
then stamped an oily background at the bottom and some nuts around
the edges using geared up garage stamp set (R).
I stamped the car using driving by (R) stamp set,
coloured it up with my blends and cut it out.
I finished by matting it onto black card, adding a sentiment
and a piece of stapled ribbon.
Perfect for a father's day/birthday gift tag!

I hope you get time to join us this fortnight!
You could end up in our hall of fame and get a lovely badge
for your blog!!

Blogger is still playing up and not allowing me to link all challenges,
just some. Seriously annoying!!

Doing some painting outside at the minute and it would freeze
you out there!! I had to double check I was actually in June lol.

Gift card idea

Happy Monday!
I have another box card fun fold to share.
This one was my practise one so not perfect,
but with a bit of twiddling I got it back on form lol.

Very handy shape as it covers a card and a gift in one
if you pop some money or vouchers inside.
I used some retired paper for this one. I love the summery colours along with
the soft blue on the opposite side.
The stamp set is called Hope you Know.
I added some ribbon to make it easier to retrieve the
card from inside the box.

Mini Album tutorial

As I had this paper pack out and want to make it disappear asap
I decided to make another mini album.
This one will hold photos of myself and hubby on
our recent travels to Donegal.

I did do a tutorial for this one if anyone fancies having a go.
But here is a quick look at the insides and you can find a link
to the main tutorial under the video on YouTube
or click here.

The spine is done differently and is a method I came across
a while ago on We R Memory Keepers but took it a step
further as I didn't like how it looks inside.
It was another great stash buster though and I am pretty pleased
with the finished book. I now have three minis under my belt!!

Measurements I used
Pages - five pieces at 6" x 4"
score in half and make a 2" slit down middle
Accordian piece - 12" x 2" - score on every 1"
Closures, make 5 - 2 1/2" x 7/8"
Inner pages - make 5 - 4" x 3", fold in half
Cover - 6 1/2" x 4"
score from 3" to 3 1/2" on every notch
Ribbon - two pieces at 7" long

Sounds like a lot of work but I got this album made,
photos printed and decorated in about four hours.

For some reason Blogger is not letting me link  Pammie's Inky Pinkies
in the usual way.
Anyone else struggling with this?

I have been struggling with my eyes this past month so
went for an eye test. Need varifocals apparently!
Fingers crossed I get on with them!!
Have a great weekend everyone.

Mini Binder Ring Album

It was my daughter-in-law's birthday on Sunday past
and as part of her present I made this little keep sake binder ring album.
It is made up of chipboard shapes, covered in dsp
then inked around the edges.
It holds photos of herself, my son and grandsons.

This is the back view.
Rachel is a great gardener and baker and loves nature
so I thought the green colours would go well for her.
The papers are from a very very old pack which I
am trying to use up completely.
I made some paper beads and used some beads from
an old necklace to decorate the binder ring.

I have used a variety of stamps through the album,
way too many to mention.

You can watch a quick run through of the inside here

Colourful tag!

It's the second week of  Valerie's theme COLOURS
over at

For my tag today I pulled out a stencil from Polka Doodles
and blended my colours for the striped background.
I added a piece of scrap paper leftover from one of my albums
to put along the bottom then stamped, coloured and die cut
the little teapot and flowers from a set called
Country Flowers Bundle.
I finished with a little punched heart.

My Mother-in-law sadly does need an operation but she doesn't want
it and they don't want to give it to her because of her age and health.
So they sent her home with antibiotics and painkillers.
We are just hoping the inflammation reduces
and she gets some time without too much pain.
