Snow season!

Our new theme over at
has been chosen by Valerie and she wants to see
SNOW!
Hopefully only on our tags lol.

I decided to go with a shaker tag today.
The background has been stamped with the snow stamp
from the Penguin Place stamp set (still available in clearance).
I used a postage stamp punch to create the window,
and it has been filled with silver/white micro beads.
I added the little penguin who has been punched and stamped
and finished with a sentiment, snowflake and some twine.

I hope you get to join us this fortnight.

It's tipping it down here today but yesterday we had a beautiful
day and took ourselves off to Omeath for a walk along the water.
Lunch out then home.
So nice to get a day like that in the build up to Christmas!!

Christmas on the farm!

It's the second week of Michele's theme
Farm Animals
over at
I have gone with a donkey, very appropriate animal for Christmas
I am sure!
I stamped some Christmas words in the background along
with the Christmas star.
Then I inked it up.
The donkey was stamped, coloured and cut and put in place
and I then made a faux fence to keep him safe lol.
It's like he is peeping into the nativity scene.

I think there is a problem with the linky tool at Tag Tuesday,
but hopefully fixed soon.

Sparkling Snowflakes!

Our December challenge has started over at
and this month the theme is
anything stamped with option favourite colours.

We have two lovely prizes up for grabs so be sure and get your entries in.

For my card, it was a toss up between pink or blue so I went with both😂
I used a stamp set called Sparkling Snowflakes
and my colours are called bubble bath and tahitian tide.
I randomly stamped various sizes of snowflakes in both colours
over the base layer of my card.
Some snowflakes were double stamped in light and dark versions of the ink
which gives a lovely shadowy effect.
I then went in with my 2 way glue pen and added spots of glue here and there.
Then I got messy and added my gold and silver flakes, rubbing
it into the glue spots for some added sparkle.
The sentiment square was die cut with a snowflake stamped in
bubble bath and the sentiment in tahitian tide.
I added a piece of vellum underneath with torn edges.
I wrapped a ribbon around the base, added the sentiment
and finished with a bow in bubble bath colours.

I hope you get time to join us this busy month of December.

Bright and cheerful!

I had a December birthday card to make for a family member
so decided to have a little fun and make my own background
using a set of stamps I never thought of trying this technique with.
Nice little change from all the Christmas madness!!
Can't believe it's the 1st of December already.

I have a video showing the process which you can watch

It's soooo frosty and cold out there.
My Grandsons Sean and Tom are in a cross country race
for their school this morning!
It's great that kids just don't feel the cold lol.
Have a lovely weekend!
