It's time for our midway post over at
where this month's theme is
summer blooms or anything goes.
We do have a lovely prize up for grabs so come and join us!
For my card I used set number 229 - blooming field
from AAll & Create.
The paper I used for the background is a very old one
from We R Memory Keepers. It's actually a 12" x 12" sheet
which I had to carefully cut down so I could get
that lovely frame to work for my a5 card.
I covered the joins with butterflies and it worked out well.
The flowers were stamped, coloured with markers
and cut out.
I stamped the sentiment below and added a ribbon
to the flower stem.
For the sentiment I punched (SU) out the shape twice,
once in cream and again in pink.
I added some tails of the same ribbon underneath
the sentiment.
To finished I added some sequins to the butterflies.

It's also time for our midway post over at
and the theme is sun, sea, sand or anything goes.
We have a lovely prize up for grabs here too!
For my card I have used an embossing folder
from Crafters Companion called Charming Coral.
I embossed it onto blue card then ran my
white ink pad over the top to pick up the embossing.
The stamp set is called Marine Life
from Globleland (Amazon).
It's a one piece stamp so I stamped it out then
cut out and coloured up the ones I wanted.
I used a die cut circle for the centre, added
my sentiment from a set called Sending Support (SU)
then filled up the gaps with the shells.
Before sticking the circle in place I wrapped
the blue card with some netting.
I finished it off with the coloured up items.

Two beautiful cards Pinky. I love the top one, its very soft and pretty, sure your DIL will love it and the next one is very sun sea and sand for sure. I love the creatures you have added and the netting is a lovely touch.
Have a lovely weekend. xx
Absolutely gorgeous card, love the beautiful flowers, paper and frame. Love the sea themed card too and all the stamps with the netting behind.

A beautiful floral card with a lovely vintage air and the muted colours, well done with the frame!
All the sea creatures together with the sentiment on the undersea card made me think of my daughter- she went scuba diving on holiday last year- she's not keen on being around 'creatures' but was determined to do it. Afterwards she said it was amazing and was so glad she overcame that fear.
