Book Page Tag

Our challenge theme over at
has been chosen by the lovely Sandie
and she wants us to use book pages!

The book I used is a really old novel (paper back)
bought in a charity shop for using in craft so
I don't feel so bad about ripping a page out 😁

I layered the cut page onto a die cut piece of cinnamon cider card.
I then stamped the tree, leaves and base using
cinnamon cider, old olive and pumpkin pie inks.
I stamped the sentiment from the same set
Beauty of Friendship, in pumpkin pie ink
onto a piece of the book page, punched and layered
onto cinnamon cider card.
I finished it off with a piece of matching ribbon.

I hope you get time to play along.

We ventured out for a bit shop this morning as
the cupboards/fridge were bare!!
Nice and quiet with all the kids at school!

Stamp of the moment!

It's midway through our challenge at
where the theme is your
stamp of the moment!
Remember we have a lovely prize up for grabs so come and join us!

For my card today I have used a mix of my favourites!!
Well it is hard to choose one set lol.
The background has been embossed using an old rose embossing folder
and layered onto fresh freesia card.
The fresh freesia papers have been die cut using the ornate layers dies.
I cut an oval in white for my sentiment and flowers.
The spray has been made up by stamping and die cutting
pieces from the Forever Fern Stamp and die set,
an absolute favourite for me!!

The sentiment (Timeless Tulips) was stamped in fresh freesia ink along
with the butterfly from the Butterfly Brilliance stamp set
and die cut using the Brilliant Wings dies.
Thinking of You sentiment is from Beauty of Friendship
stamp set and I added a few metallic pearls to finish.

I hope you get time to join us!

Another tea light box idea

So on my mission to use up my tea lights and my retired papers
I have come up with this little box.
Simple enough and easily adjusted to fit whatever size you might need.

You can watch my video here.
Please hit the subscribe button and help me build my numbers 😍

For this one I have used my love retired papers again
but the flower has been stamped using the lovely
Daisy Lane stamp set and matching punches large and medium.
The ink is grapefruit grove from a retired in colour a few years ago.

So my hand is much better but still have to put splint on
for a few hours a day.
I have been enjoying walking around golf course
as hubby plays his golf.
It is so beautiful out there and it's a nice change from the back garden.
Mother nature has worked her magic right on my doorstep.

Recycling at Tag Tuesday

It's the second week of our recycling challenge over at
Have you joined us yet???

I saved this box from our rubbish.
It held a load of plum tomatoes and now it's living
the good life as an autumnal tag!

So I cut the bottom into my tag base.
I then stamped my crackle paint stamp in early expresso ink.
I used my brushes to ink round the edges and then punched a hole
for the ribbon (cinnamon cider).
Next I stamped the sentiment in pumpkin pie ink using
Statement of the Heart stamp and cut it out using
I inked around the edges using early expresso ink.
Next I cut some leaves out (gathered leaves dies)
I inked the edges of each and displayed as you see on the tag
I'm pretty pleased with the natural look it has and the tomato
box was made of really sturdy cardboard.

Use your stash!

With taking a rest from crafting my mind was full of ideas
to use up what stash I have and this is one of them.
I designed a little box to hold my metal candle holders
which I picked up (quite a lot) from Ikea.
They were greatly reduced and I thought I'd use them for something
but they just lay in the bottom drawer!

So here is what I made.
The candle holder has been stamped in  stazon
and the boxes have been made using my retired paper stash.

You can watch my video here

This size of box also fits the 2 1/4" candles.

Paper - 8 1/2" x 3 3/4"
Score long side - 2 3/4", 3 1/2", 6 1/4", 7"
